Tried an edit of https://awbw.amarriner.com/prevmaps.php?maps_id=58588 by Mori7wastaken. Rotated the bases and made some terrain edits while trying to stay true to the original map. |

I think this is a bit better than the original, though this probably turns into a damage race on the sides (as long as that 03,11 chokepoint doesn't get blocked at least) because properties in the center aren't easily contestable. It also is a bit choky overall. EDIT: Re-Newed after changes |

2nd review: I'd say the 'damage race on the sides' aspect is still there because the terrain in the center makes it so that frontshifting takes a while. The 1b has a lot of captures, but it feels like it can not get to most of them comfortably before it starts getting beaten up by the opposing 2b. Also looks like there's some STA; P2 can park their first tank on the 13,06 tower if they build it from 10,18. Also, the 1b where P1 is ahead is capture-starved (which means the 2b that P2 is ahead on will likely get a few more). So the way to fix this would probably be moving the bases around, particularly moving the 2b back a few tiles (at least enough to prevent the tank-parking-on-the-tower thing). The center could be unchoked a bit to encourage frontshifting - it needs to be somewhat quick here imo, otherwise bullying the 1b1a is just the better option. |
