This map was a remake of "flipping out" by bananabasket. https://awbw.amarriner.com/prevmaps.php?maps_id=166266 The idea of the original map was that it had to be flip symmetry, and had to have so much TA that it balanced itself out. Banana and I think that this map will either completely explode somehow, or will be the most genius map of all time. |

Is mid not problematic? |

Surprisingly the contested bases are still seemingly more valuable, so it's the AHF center city argument but with four cities in a trench coat instead of a single city. |

So I think this is interesting, but in my test game it looked like the funding curve favors P2 a bit, but to be fair it might just be the result of the APC opener - and P1 was able to baseskip to get a needed tank and after that it looked playable anyway. Though the APC opener seems very good here as it allows you to get Infs to the neutral base rather fast - and imo the APC opener favors P2 a bit. That might be worth investigating further as it is possible that there's a bit of STA in general, although it's hard to say without a bunch of test games. This surely needs more testing still, but I think it should be fine in A-rank, at least until someone can find a broken line or definitive TA. |
