Doghealer66 (10/06/2006 10:18am | Edited: 10/06/2006 10:20am):
I made this map specially for the Odd Ones Out map design contest. It was designed as an FFA map. It's named Pipe Zone: Revisited because of my older map, Pipe Zone, which is only 4p, but smaller than this. (And also currently without any woods or roads) The reason for the airport in the 'square' below OS's 'home square' is because without it, OS would be the only one without an airport in an adjacent square. Still, OS has the ability to go for the upper corner airports in attempt to stop BM or GE from getting them. The 'square' in the center is like a 'bonus square'. People will be racing for it, but if they put too much attention on it, the next thing you know, someone may be knocking at your HQ's front door. If you don't put enough attention to it, then the others are more likely to get it first. If someone completely owns the 'bonus square', they've pretty much got the game, because they'll have units with 40% more power, and center aerial support, which allows the fastest access to any given map point. So the best strategy may just be to let nobody have it. Just keep a couple of tanks down there and keep anyone from doing anything. |

you should make the center airport a lab, then you could set piperunners to lab units... |

Yeah, true, but then it's no fun having just one person have piperunners 'piperunning' around. Maybe...all five of those inner buildings might be labs...yeah...but then where do the Comm Towers go? For now, I'm going to leave it as is. After it gets judged in the contest, I'm going to create a test game on it. If you'd like, you're welcome to join. |

why does OS basically have two square areas to itself with no one to battle with for from the start? |

lol OS does have a default advantage but it does leave alittle spice to this stage. Air units have no real advantage on this stage. cool. i like this stage alot! u got a 10 out of 5 |
