no real fta because four options on your first turn: 2 airports, a factory, and a seaport can
be captured with your first two turns. The reefs are such important strategic points I
thought that would be good enough motivation to battle in the seas... if you own the reef or
get a sub on the opponents seaport you have a great advantage....hence the importance to
defend your own seaport. I recommend Sensei is banned .... too many cities on such a
small map. not supposed to be a team map.
Sputnik (10/08/2006 04:06pm):
10/10 for the name.

thanks sput... you might like the titles of my other maps

Would it not make make more sense to swap PC and PL, so that there's some ocean
between opposing sides in a 2v2 game?
tmassing (12/31/2006 06:39am):
this map isn't meant for 2v2.
QuadrAlien (01/04/2007 07:41pm | Edited: 01/11/2007 12:05am):
Fair enough - just the team layout I've ended up in...
I'll give a rating once my game's completed, regardless of teams.

Edit: Actually, I couldn't be playing this any more against your instructions - 2v2 as
Sensei :)
Well, I can confirm him being overpowered, at least.

Shadow Star (02/15/2008 10:39am):
what do you mean no real FTA?
The simple fact that BM and PC go first and start in the same position as PL and TG means
there's FTA.
Central bases=bad
at 17 property per country, there isn't enough funds to support any naval besides
transports. and with all those bases, Sensei, Sami, and Kindle are the most obvious choices
here.
It's also, very plain.
I can't give you a good score because there is just too much going on here that does not
make for a successful map of this size.
tmassing (02/15/2008 12:08pm):
1. no fta because there are so many options for each player at the beginning of the game.
2. "central bases=bad" hahahah WHY? You need something toi fight for so people don't just
stand around.
3. 17000 per turn is plenty of money to have a naval. Depends on your style of play and
CO. I've played this game many times and with every game the sea has been very important.
If you control the waters on this map, you control the game.
4. What do you mean by plain?
rast2 (02/15/2008 12:51pm | Edited: 02/15/2008 12:52pm):
what shadow star said, except theres plenty of money for naval. In fact there is too much
money on the map.
The problem is the oceans are too small and there's no point in making transports.
The 4 central bases are one giant fail spot.
edit: terrain layout is sucktastic also.
3/10

Yay, another user with an attitude of "FTA DOESN'T EXIST MY MAPS R AWESOMEZ U
GUYZ SUX LOL"

Also, I have to agree with Shadow Star
tmassing (02/16/2008 03:28pm):
are you talking about my attitude?
DJ-Moogle (07/20/2011 12:55pm):
Could use more terrain...perhaps a bit of road. That's quite a lot of cities.
