amthc356 (06/03/2007 06:25pm):
Look carefully. You're forgetting something.
I luv heartless (06/03/2007 07:07pm):
I can't see what's missing. Tell me.
amthc356 (06/04/2007 04:15am):
When I first made that post, I was referring to the FTA counter which is there now, but now
I see a missing base.
I luv heartless (06/08/2007 06:52pm):
What? I only see the right amount of base. Watcha talking about?
farts (06/23/2007 09:25am):
I am playing on this map right now and i can,t see whats wrong !
twinblade (06/26/2007 07:24pm):
I don't see any obvious problems...
DuelStriker (07/12/2007 06:22pm):
I think there is a missing mountain, but I see no other problems. Maybe amthc356 is
overlooking the map.
Heartless (07/15/2007 04:43pm):
lol, amthc was right, I didn't have any FTA counter and I did miss a base. I just ninja fixed it
before anybody (except him) could see it.
DuelStriker (07/19/2007 08:25pm):
Heartless, this map is great. 10/10 *rare*
Kent14 (08/01/2007 12:47pm):
Like the map. Airports by the rivers and mountain cites are a +
psychoticguyLOLENDGAME (08/03/2007 02:24am | Edited: 08/03/2007 02:24am):
Recon FTA, player 1 assaults top base
DuelStriker (08/03/2007 09:22am):
lol. recon FTA? Each side starts with 3000 funds. You can't buy a recon >_> untill day 3
anyway...
psychoticguyLOLENDGAME (08/03/2007 05:50pm):
Player 1 can stop player 2's capture with a day 2 recon, then take both bases.
Heartless (08/04/2007 01:15pm):
Sadly, this is true X_x I calculated and he barely makes it. gonna have to switch the FTW
counted, so unpublished for now.
I luv heartless (08/31/2007 09:36pm):
Republished and fixed :D
The Shifting Shadows (09/01/2007 07:10am):
10/10 Seems Perfect
Bil_Diewalk (09/18/2007 10:26am):
43:62 is it really that perfect?
Heartless (09/20/2007 05:01pm):
Map analysis means nothing. If the best player in the world played the worst player in the
world on the same map using the same country each time played on a map, the analysis
would say 20:0, but that doesn't mean it's imbalanced.

Condescension (10/29/2007 08:22pm):
Well, I won my first awbw game on this map, so I feel obligated to give it a 10/10!

That, and its a great map.
lindsay40k (12/14/2007 01:17pm):
BAN STURM.

The importance of this cannot be overstated.
blanci1 (01/25/2008 07:13pm):
Excellent. Great map to play on and tricky, espaciallly in FogOWar. Lota of major strategy
choices..with few guarantees of succes...scary!

One problem..which may in part be due to my small oldish laptop screen and/or eyes: I had
quite some trouble distinguishing black-hole units from jade-sun as they seemed very similar
shades (perhaps excacerbated by FogOW). I wonder if one of the countries could be
changed?

tmassing (02/25/2008 05:27pm):
yeah nice map 10/10
Dragunov14 (03/29/2008 10:46am):
great map 10/10

Deaninator (05/07/2008 10:05pm):
Why would you want someone to play the game for you?
rast2 (05/08/2008 12:00pm):
Why aren't you capable of reading comprehension?
Tyrael (05/08/2008 03:57pm):
Why aren't YOU capable of comprehension of the capture phase? :P
Deaninator (05/08/2008 07:22pm | Edited: 05/08/2008 07:23pm):
You're asking someone to make a capture phase for you. >_>

Why aren't you capable of playing the game?
rast2 (05/09/2008 08:35am):
Still lacking reading comprehension there, Deanintor.

Chess players don't make up a new opening each time they sit down at the table.

Anyway, as a public service I'll post benbever's opening moves from the last league game
he won on this map. http://awbw.amarriner.com/replay.php?games_id=78323&ndx=0
rast2 (05/09/2008 09:06am):
OK, need some notation here. Builds are from left to right; each built unit is given a
letter. I'll use the letters nswe to indicate directtion of moves, c to indicate capture.
Benbever is OS (bottom left on this map).

turn 1:
build infantry A
build infantry B

turn 2:
A: nnc
B: see
build infantry C
build infantry D

turn 3:
A: c
B: eee
C: www
D: nec
build infantry E
build infantry F

turn 4:
A: nne
B: eeec (factory)
C: wc
D: c
E: nee
F: nee
build artillery (no letter since it can't capture)
build infantry H

turn 5:
A: nec
B: c (factory)
C: c
D: nne
E: neec
F: eec
H: see
build infantry I
build infantry J

turn 6:
A: c
B: neec
C: nn
D: nne
E: c
F: c
H: ssc
I: nnn
J: see
build tank (no letter)
build infantry L
build infantry M

The rest depends on what the opponent does, or is pretty obvious based on current
position. For instance, C captures the airport, I captures the city near the airport, J
captures the middle southern city.

Interestingly, ben makes only a couple mechs, both from this 3rd base.
DuelStriker (05/09/2008 06:50pm):
There's no set order to capture cities on a map.
Deaninator (05/09/2008 09:10pm):
^ What he said. This isn't chess.

obtw, I find it rather comical that you spelled my name wrong.

nerd-boy (05/14/2008 03:23pm):
That's not the be all, end all opening for this map.

That's just one opening that may or may not be good.

nirial1991 (06/06/2008 11:23pm):
This truly one of the greatest maps I've ever seen. Way to go, and keep on making maps
like this 10/10
DJ-Moogle (08/23/2008 06:29pm):
pretty normal map but i can see a big rush of units through the middle and no use of the
outside neutral bases....i guess i could always play it to find out ^^;
Meta Rexy (11/20/2008 08:35pm):
10. :D
I had doubts about this map at first but when I played on it the game was awesome. :D
Excellent map. :D This map deserves S rank :D
felix45 (11/22/2008 03:28pm):
@DJ - the middle is a bad place to fight. you have to stretch yourself out a lot if you
want to take cities in the middle or just have big stalemates on both sides, but this is a
good map and I've never seen stalemates on the sides.
Tyrael (12/11/2008 06:30pm):
DJ-Moogle : Just the opposite. Most of the action occurs on the outside in an attempt to
capture the enemy neutral factory. The middle is largely ignored.
darktooth191 (12/26/2008 03:13pm):
How did this finish first??!!

This map's mountains and rivers are weird..how is this possible?

tst5383 (06/11/2010 12:51am | Edited: 06/11/2010 12:52am):
It looks like that only in map's viewpage...
Seems like someone was testing some new terrain sprites here.
ramdalucksta7 (07/24/2011 08:09pm):
I like this map. I think it is important to rush for those corner cities.
Nyvelion (02/08/2013 02:03pm):
I can't view the map. Anyone else having this problem?
Ignorance (04/20/2013 03:59pm):
Same Nyvelion. Though, when it flashes it's pic before it goes blankish, I stop the page
from loading anymore when it flashes, and then it keeps the pic up.

Course, am using Firefox here.
walkerboh01 (02/27/2015 09:45pm):
Fixed. Next time, please report these bugs on the forum.
