Traveler's Log: Day 3-

The third day on my journey and I find myself in a beautiful place, not too far up the
coast. Much more spread out than the last place, though still with an odd name, "{2}". I'm
not sure what it means, but I'm willing to look past the minor details on this one and
focus on soaking in the natural beauty around me. I haven't had a chance to explore the
whole place - it's quite a bit bigger than my humble homeland - but I hear that red fires
rage to the North and that there's a brown desert in the Southern region. I find that hard
to believe, given what I've seen, but who am I to disagree with the indigenous folk about
their own land? I do plan to head to the East, a little bit inland, where I've heard rumor
that they have a big astronomy tower in the mountains, and that interests me much more
than the fire and desert. I hope it's as great as it sounds. If not, I think there are
some other towers nearby that could be worth investigating on my next stop.

What I have done so far is spend half my day at the many reefs around here, snorkeling and
looking at all of the exotic fish! Because of all the islands off the main coast, the
water currents lead to different reef environments in the channels, and so the variety is
spectacular. There was even one kind of fish that looked like conjoined twins, but it
turned out just to be a clever illusion. I did my best to draw a picture of it, but I've
never been a good artist:

I wish my descriptions could do this place justice. Maybe I'll retire here someday...
