READ BEFORE YOU COMMENT OR RATE!!

Hi,

Now available is the fourth A-Groove (and the first to feature a 1 on 1 gameplay!!)

Now, this is not a joke map or anything and it is very serious... the concept is the same
as DS Battle in Advance Wars: Dual Strike. You have a primary front (bottom map) and a
secondary front (top map). To win, you have to win the bottom map... winning the top map
won't result in instant victory. The secondary front is here really for strategic
purpose... in this case, winning it will grant you a lab, two com towers (yes, that +20%
offense boost) as well as a high amount of properties (and thus funds).

NOW THIS IS WHERE IT GETS INTERESTING: like Advance Wars: Dual Strike, you can send troops
from your primary front (bottom) to your secondary front (top) BUT NOT THE OTHER WAY
AROUND!! So if you send that mega tank to win the top front in hope of relocating in the
bottom front later on, well, not going to happen! To move troops to the secondary front,
you must have one of your two landers in the seaport, have the units you desire
to move up be loaded inside the lander, and then move the lander on the shoal/beach in the
top front to unload them. If you look carefully, you'll notice that you can send troops
upward BUT YOU CANNOT SEND TROOPS DOWNWARD!!

For info, I used this map as my base map for the primary front
http://awbw.amarriner.com/prevmaps.php?maps_id=6107 and this one for as my base map for
secondary front http://awbw.amarriner.com/prevmaps.php?maps_id=631

I know some will complain the FTA counter is not strong enough but I really do think it is
good enough as it is. I may modify the map if I find this to be untrue.

Anyway, I try to add something unique with each of my new maps... my first map was
introduced the Alice Style team FTA-counter, the second one re-used the Alice Style team
FTA-counter but introduced the ability to support your teammate but NOT your own other
front, my third map introduced the 3 players-turned-4 players and this map is the first (I
believe) in Advance Wars By Web where you can send troops to one place one way but not the
other way around.

Anyway, do tell me what you think :)

Thanks,

Alice

Nice you just need to work on that FTA counter.
Nyvelion (07/08/2007 04:37am):
Awhile ago I was thinking about how to make a dual screen type map with only sending units
one way... and you found a way... very nice
thecooltodd (07/17/2007 03:58pm):
Wow... I'm really impressed =D 10/10
Grizzleshark (08/16/2007 08:08am):
you sure get into your maps.
VIH (08/20/2007 08:55am):
Impressive. The bottom map is coast city divide, am I right?
Gunmetal Alice (08/20/2007 09:56am):
as quoted by my first post "For info, I used this map as my base map for the primary front
http://awbw.amarriner.com/prevmaps.php?maps_id=6107", yup, you are right, it is coast city
divide (slightly modified)
VIH (08/21/2007 05:56pm):
-_-, Kind of overlooked that link.
Gunmetal Alice (08/23/2007 01:07am):
who just gave me a 1???????

If you want to give 1s, fine, but just don't hide yourself behind anonimity and say why
you think it deserves a 1!!!
Condescension (10/23/2007 10:12pm):
Well, i think its awesome, so 10/10
GenericNPC (12/13/2007 03:22pm):
Brilliant 10/10
cward2k4 (12/20/2007 01:59am):
I'm playing it now. Its really fun.
rast2 (12/20/2007 01:21pm):
The map looks kidna lame, sorry. But 9/10 for coming up with a method for sending units
only one way.

Very fun and creative map. 10/10 .

IMO, Kindle should be banned on this map. Her artilleries can get her into the center one
turn faster, plus urban blight would damage landers.
Ducky (05/17/2008 08:43pm):
I'm not sure but is it set up so that you can only move one unite per turn? IF you are trying to
get that effect, you need a third spot of water + lander for each team, otherwise you will
only be able to send 2 units every 3 turns.
Gunmetal Alice (05/18/2008 03:10pm):
no, you can send two lander shipment for every 3 turns, meaning 4 units for every 3 turns.

What I wanted to do when I'll be able to edit this map is add an extra lander for each
side and two extra empty sea tiles
Roareye (11/26/2009 05:50am):
Awesome map. Does not require any modifications.

10/10
