Dullahan (09/13/2005 03:23pm):
Interesting idea with the immediate power build-up right off the bat... 9/10.
DrogbaBH (09/13/2005 03:25pm):
Don't rate it yet please. I must test it first to check if it has enough B copters to activate
Sensei's COP.
BM can be anyone but try not choosing someone way too powerful. YC must be Sensei (or
maybe Hachi but I would have to put more B copters and missiles to fill the bar to his SCOP).
DrogbaBH (09/13/2005 03:32pm):
You rated before I posted but there's no problem. I just wanted to say that I saw a map some
time ago with this idea but I developed it a bit and tried to make it a fair map. Please tell me if
this map favours one side and what i should add or delete.
DrogbaBH (09/14/2005 02:33am):
Removed 4 B copters and 4 missiles because Sensei would get SCOP right away (which
shouldn't be used unless you want to waste one more turn capturing those bases) and BM
has Olaf would get COP and half the SCOP bar which is much more than I wanted. The old
version would work for YC has Hachi but that's not the point of this game and most people
don't like using Hachi. I'll test it again to check how much does this fill the power meters but it
should be ready for playing. You can rate it now.
ChristIsFreedom (09/14/2005 07:08am):
I know that this is throwing a monkey wrench in your plans, but what if BM, going first,
decides NOT to destroy the copters? Day 1 they build 3 infantry, day 1 YC moves their
copters in halfway (6 spaces a turn, it will take the right most ones 2 days to reach the
first city), day 2, bm starts moving toward cities and saves. Day 2 yc, bcopters start to
hit land and possibly damage 1 infantry, day 3 bm has 9000 (1K, 4k, 4k) and can build
their first AA. Day 3 YC can kill 1 infantry and plug some bases. Day 4 BM captures the
other 2 cities they set out to get and kills their first bcopter. From there, I think you
see where i'm going with this. It's possible to get WAY far ahead of YC by just not
killing the copters right out, and there's no requirement to kill them.

Perhaps putting the copters over BM's starting bases (plugging them up) and islanding off
the starting missles would force the game to get underway like you mean it to. BM would
be forced to kill the missles in order to build infantry to start capturing and if they
didn't kill them at that point, they either couldn't build anything, or they'd spell their
own demise by only killing 1 copter to build 1 infantry; at that point YC would just kill
the infantry and then turn and destroy the missles to win by routing.

all in all it's an interesting concept, though I'd think you'd be hard pressed to see
someone choose to play as YC.
ChristIsFreedom (09/14/2005 07:10am):
that paragraph should read:
Perhaps putting the copters over BM's starting bases (plugging them up) and islanding off
the starting missles would force the game to get underway like you mean it to. BM would be
forced to kill the COPTERS in order to build infantry to start capturing and if they

DrogbaBH (09/14/2005 08:36am):
Well i see your point. YC wouldn't lose right away because BM would end up destroying the
B copters but slowly which would give BM a big early game advantage. I'll change some
things to make sure BM destroys the B copters.
DrogbaBH (09/14/2005 08:55am):
Now with these changes I think BM really has to destroy those B Copters or they'll be losing
time (or even losing the game easily I'll have to test this). Besides putting the missiles and B
copters much closer to BM's base I added one city near YC's HQ and moved YC's infantry
closer to the Airport so he can start capturing it in the first turn.
DrogbaBH (09/29/2005 02:57pm):
I've made the last changes (unless something else seems unfair) to this map and I think this a
very balanced map as long as BM doesn't choose a broken CO.
DrogbaBH (10/01/2005 02:21pm):
I know everyone has an opinion but I had this with 9 rating (2 votes) and now someone
rated it making it go down to 6.33 which means someone rated it with 1. I think this is too
much. He either didn't know what this map is about which means he doesn't know about
Sensei's COP and hasn't read the comments or he just wanted to make the rating go down. I
know the rating don't count for anything but it's unfair that some people do this.
