Ugh, diagonal symmetry. Head...hurts...

*ahem*

So yeah. New map. Comment etc.
x0_000 (09/20/2007 09:09am):
Hmmm, doesn't the infantry give BM a stronger advantage since it lets BM get "first turn" on
the important half of the map?
nerd-boy (09/20/2007 02:01pm):
Would you believe I never even thought of that?

Thanks.
SmackCakes (09/20/2007 03:41pm):
A-Rank, i would prefere if you put the infantry on the other base though.
nerd-boy (09/21/2007 01:36pm):
You mean on the side with the bases?

That was the side x0 told me to change it from.
x0_000 (10/04/2007 08:09pm):
XD
SmackCakes (11/13/2007 10:51pm):
Yeah the key points are poorly distributed. So either side causes an imbalance. Perhaps
you could make the southern base the starting base, and the middle base neutral. That
should fix the problem. by allowing BM to get to the base first, but not the airport.
nerd-boy (11/21/2007 07:47pm):
Good point. Thanks.

Fixed.

The other problem is that there is going to be a MASSIVELY huge battle at the midpoint
between the 2 HQs, and nowhere else. Both people will have to send infantry there from
the start, to make sure the other person doesnt capture their HQ. From there, it snowballs.

"The other problem is that there is going to be a MASSIVELY huge battle at the midpoint

This I can't help but disagree with. You say that there will be one major battle at that
one area, and that may be true. However, there will also be a battle towards the other
corner, and even in the middle, where one side can be fighting for a property advantage.
This is why Advance Wars is a "strategy" game. You can do other things than pour all of
your funds into one area, and if you do just that, you'll most likely lose.

Uprated.

Who the hell downrated this? "5.00 in 6 ratings"

10'd to help.
Harti1990 (09/09/2008 02:25pm):
What if I want to take the income advantage instead of the factory advantage as P2?
I can't cause I can't complete the capturing of a city by day 2...
nerd-boy (09/09/2008 05:42pm | Edited: 09/09/2008 05:43pm):
I think it plays out nicely this way.

I'm not changing it. Sorry.

Besides, I've usually noticed a better advantage grabbing the factory early. It's an
advantage, and since OS can't get a city on day 3 it means that BM is still ahead in
funds-just like they'd be if they went after a city in range of the base.
airob (01/26/2010 09:43pm):
HAS ANYONE NOTICED THIS IS ASSYMETRIC?
nerd-boy (02/13/2010 04:12pm):
It's got diagonal symmetry.

Where's the asymmetry? I'll fix it.
DuelStriker (02/21/2010 05:37pm):
I see. There's a forest missing near OS's airport.
