An attempt at a 5-player Star Island. It might be slightly weird in one place of so but in my opinon I reckon it's a fair do. |

BH is one tile closer to the middle (not that it changes too much anyway), put them one tile further back away from it (plus, they're the only ones with a FTA counter, gives them some sort of a fifth turn advantage (?), though the map being a FFA it shouldn't matter too much) |

Looks pretty good. Add a couple forests and move BH back a space. Also, just a suggestion, put plains/shoal tiles 1 East 1 South and 2 West 1 South of BH infantry's current position to loosen up the bottleneck by their starting position. Otherwise great map. |

I agree wif Tyael but disagree wif BadFurDay & DualStriker, they always mok our maps, they dont play them, so why should they comment them, have they actualy made a grade S map, i think not so why say things like that, tut tut, not good... But good idea Tyrael |

Well, TheCOMET, I have quite a few maps designed, just look at my profile. Feel free to rate them as you wish, give them 1/10s if you feel like it (though that would be quite stupid, I always rate fairly), I really don't care about marks, I only care about giving constructive criticism and pointing out what's good/bad in order for people to balance their maps for fair games. Anyway, back to the topic, Billten's map. With that edit it's quite better already, but the pipe in the bottom looks like a random cockblock. GE and YC will already take longer than the others to capture their cities, so why make it harder for them to enter battle? |

Well, it seems like if GE and YC want to win, they'll also have to go for the middle anyway. Then, if isolating armies to make sure they meet in the middle is your goal, I guess you should probably isolate a bit more BH from OS and BE, since it'll be forced to confront both at the same time permanently. |

I've just already made BH more bottle neck free and by your suggestion it just seems like I'm putting that bottle neck back in. |

Umm... I offered advice, TheCOMET. I am not "moking" the map, I gave the mapmaker some advice (which I am glad he followed.) Also, you should be the one who shouldn't come to this site if you are gonna say things like that about us. |

Well Billten, I didn't rate it yet, giving it a 9/10, 5 player FFA maps are hard to do and this one should fit this type of games fine enough. I don't like to have cities side-to-side in maps I play, so that's the only thing really bringing it down. Might be totally choked for game endings, but I guess if one can accumulate enough funds by controlling the middle, he can just barge through the other bottlenecks, so it's fine as is. |

Looks great. I like the little islands to the side, add a nice visual. It's a little imbalanced (BH gets LTA) but I don't think there's any real way to fix that. Also with 5 players it's really not a big deal. And to Comet, BadFur and DualStriker aren't bad people. You might disagree with how they voice thier opinions, but they really mean well. Probably. ;) |
