AMajor (10/22/2007 07:12pm):
Before you say anything, I know that this map is just about as chokey and fortressy as possible; that is its intent. You should try to UTILIZE its chokeyness to slowly but safely advance. Its chokeyness also augments the effectiveness of the silos, since units will likely be grouped together. This is one of the maps I have on my DS, if you couldn't tell by its dimensions. I have played on this countless times and can tell you that it is very possible to win, although it can be very slow. Whoever secures the center island has a definite advantage and can penetrate the other side with many more properties and 4 towers (since the defenses are so great and difficult to penetrate without them). I have considered this fun, but I'm ready for your scathing comments if need be. Needless to say, ban Grit and Javier. |

Maybe the FTA counter for BM is a little overdone? Maybe just an infantry on 2/4 bases? Also, why are there crusors and battleships on land? Finally, is it even possible to get an HQ capture? Altogether fairly good, 8/10 |

AMajor (10/22/2007 07:58pm):
You're right; I'll delete a couple of infantry. Carriers and Battleships on those little squares of sea are to provide a stationary defense for the fortress (along with the missiles and piperunners in the center.) No, HQ capture is intentionally impossible. However, now that I think about it, I will add two seams in the back of HQ's. (This would be impossible in the DS version, since that's 54 properties and they don't let you put adjacent pipeseams.) |

AMajor (10/22/2007 08:12pm):
How's that? I still think winning by rout is easier than HQ capture anyway. |

Condescension (10/22/2007 08:33pm):
It looks fun, but i was never a chokepoint fan... And remember my usage of mechs to counter th FTA in the middle... maybe tweak the center island to have mechs instead of infantry on the bases. |

With this many predeployed units, two infantry isn't strong enough an FTA counter. |

AMajor (10/22/2007 10:23pm):
Okay...I've got lots of mixed reactions. I do have to disagree with the previous poster though; there are no pre-deployed units on the center island--and there won't be any very soon--so the two infantry DO matter. Still, I will change them to mechs. (Mr. Condescension and I have played this before.) |

Yeah. It's not strong enough. You should place the mechs directly on the comtowers, and give BM the other two bases. |
