You could've given it a bird name like The Chicken Has No Agenda, since a pheasant is a
type of bird. It's interesting but this is the kind of thing that the map committee seems
to really be frowning upon; if you're trying to get an A-rank, do something more creative.
All that aside, good map, not quite Pheasant. 8/10

I just liked the general setup of P(h)easant but wanted to
tweak it a little, wasn't sure how to do it, so I started my own from scratch.

The whole idea behind Pheasant is how narrow and tense the base conflicts were, which
is a lot harder to capture and balance on a larger map.

I sure wouldn't mind an A-ranked map or two, IMHO I've made a few of them already.

The name is staying. It will forever be a monument to my ignorance of the spelling of
peasant (the poor kind, not the bird kind :P) Besides, maybe it'll confuse a few more people
and I won't feel so alone.

To many bases for this size map, you have three cluttered near the HQ already,

Editing the map now, tried quite a few configurations on my DS against myself and I'm
happiest with this one so far.

EDIT- Updated. Center has been revamped, the HQs are nearer to the center and there's
bases there so hopefully it won't get ignored. Or over-focused on for that matter... Hmm...

I don't think the central bases are needed, that turns the HQ bases into spammers. The
middle rivers looks really bad, too.

Just rid of the central neutral bases completely.
I would recommend ridding one airport per side as well.

Moved HQs back, deleted the random rivers and forward bases, and took out an airport per
side (forgot to turn the old airports into cities when I moved 'em last :P)
But I feel the center will get mostly ignored now. Am I crazy?

It needs a FTA counter; and I'm a bit worried about the neutral bases, which are really in
the middle of the fight.
The opening moves are going to be very important. It looks pretty good, though.

Each side can actually rather easily disrupt the other side's base capture if my math is
correct.

But equally and fairly, which is what the origional Pheasant Remix was trying to accomplish,
but turned out badly because lol day 1 OS recon. Here the recon/APC can be answered
effectively, fulfilling Pheasant's goals without the FTA. Yes, I have tested this version (with
DS).

It's just a rush for the neutral bases, forcing you to play a certain way in the opening,
otherwise you'll lose one (or both) of the bases fairly quick and it can easily snowball
from there. Is that the point of the map?
