Nice map.. some good features like terrain..looks like a real place (for a change) is it based
on a real museum in park or something?.
SPOILER: ..... it looks like a "Critical Opening Map" .....you may need an hour for studying
justto make your first move...could be all over in a few moves because of the
mixed-up locations of the preowned properties ..... tricky races to factories or quick HQ
grabs?? . Perhaps
this is not a criticism, its just a kind of map classification... tactical headache from day 1.
.... i imagine games should be good fun but maybe 1/3 games could be over in 5 days ???
EG --moving the near corner factories nearer the corner and even around a little might
stabilise the opening (assuming zero start funds to prevent rapid road access).

Is this backed up by the statistics?? game analisis...gives...game days average = 7.7 only???
from 9 games played. Is thyis saying the game only lasts about 7 days ??

The BM infantry can get to the HQ by day 3 which is too fast, it is hard for OS to stop
the capture, and they can't capture back because they need to send their first infantry to
their own HQ

I would consider moving the HQs, or using a unit to block them, so they can't be captured
so fast.

well now 13 games have been played and the average is still 7 point something days .. im
almost tempted to try a game , and perhaps grab an early HQ against an unsuspecting
victim , ha ha. ,... i just realised i dont normally read map comments when i join an already
created game, so maybe other folk dont either?

There is in fact a way to stop it, however, most people won't be able to see how to do it in
time, I'd guess.

OK so its a very delicate opening, one slip and youre a gonner, but maybe folk can still enjoy
and learn something?
I played the map and i had to think for ages how to prevent an early grab on my HQ (like
duel says)... but this diversion of resources actually put me into what i felt was a losing
position but i had no choice, and i was only saved by luck and the Fog of war. I dont think
id want to play this kind of map often though, it felt like russian roulette.

Map is broken. Blue wins every time. No way to stop the predeployed unit from taking OS
HQ.

I moved the HQ's a little and added some mountains, making it harder to go for the quick
capture. You think this fixes blue's advantage?

I also moved the corner factory's a little, as blanci requested. And no, this isn't based
on Museumplein, just named after it.

Break up the straight roads with some forests (the roads leading to the neutral bases)
because OS can stop BM with a recon.

The mountain arrangement prevents the BM STA now though, good job with that. Fix the
recon problem, and it will be fine.

OS can still disrupt BM's base capture. Maybe you could put an extra mountain instead of the
forests to slow down a recon.

strangely i think i prefer the better-looking original with all its technical problems .... a
mountain dumped in middle of a road seems a bizarre solution ...... the original should hang
in the AW Museum for scholars to argue over ... :)

oh... the map analysis stats have got bugged ... the game data shows 26 games ... while the
country data shows just 5 -presumably only those since latest map edit ?

It didn't need a mountain, OS could never do anything that BM couldn't do back.

@ Blanchi... map analysis only seems to show data for CO games. Most of the games on this
map were in the COs off league.

Actually, it did need the mountain... I tested this a while back and the recon rushing was
pretty bad, this seemed to be the best solution.
