A fairly standard battle between Red Fire and Cobalt Ice. See? Fire and ice? Ah, you got it.

The main island for each team consists of six cities, three bases, two airports, two ports
and three silos. There is also a smaller island connected by a bridge with another city,
airport and port. The small road island in the middle is for land units, but this map is designed
mainly for air and naval units. Like most of the maps I make, I probably put in too much
terrain, but that's my style.

General Infomation:
Team - None. Obvious.

Fog of War - Optional. The reefs in the ocean will actully be important then.

Units Bans - Just the standards.

CO Bans - Again, just the standards.

FTA - My first attempt at FTA. Seems simple enough when you understand what it means.

Final Thoughts - Nothing spectacular about this map. Just have fun going all out against the
foe with tanks, planes and ships. :)

How many funds per turn? I guess that would be crucial in the viability of building a navy to
break the choke point in the centre.

Side ports seem a little superfluous. You would only build ships back there in a loosing
battle...
Tyrael (12/15/2007 05:07pm):
It's way too narrow in the center for land units, there's going to be a stalemate there while
ships and planes trade back and forth. Not sure what you mean by reefs only being good in
FOW- they do provide a defence bonus. Not much, but it does help. FTA is still a problem
here, starting funds should be 3000 (HQ + 2 bases, tower is fine it doesn't give funds) and
the inf should be on a base. Terrain wise, I think the amount of terrain is right on. Not too
many plains, and the forests and roads are spread out pretty well, so it looks nice and plays
well. Could use a few more reefs though, the sea seems pretty empty still.
For funding, put a LOT more cities (high funds is an option, but the higher the funds, the
higher the FTA).
And while it's good that you didn't put the silos in the center, you still put silos in the map
which many people don't like. If you must have them then they're positioned OK, pero no me
gusta. 7/10

I've taken the tips into consideration.
The center island is supposed to be a stalemate area, therefore increasing the needs for
airports and ports. Maybe an extra base or two though.
The FTA is... well, I don't get it much. Really, someone should simplify it.
Funding might require more than just 1000. The range should be between 1500-2500, though
I should have pointed that out. Hm.
Many people don't like silos? They shouldn't play this map then. Three silos per army, fairly
spread out.

Thanks for the tips Tyrael. Again. You like commenting.

It's supposed to be stalematey to add value to nonland units, and I see that after reading the
first comment again >.> And don't like silos, don't play, fair enough. But we still dont like 'em
>.> I think this will help you understand FTA and how to counter it:

Thanks for listening. And yes, I do like commenting. Have fun :)
