Another Halo map, right? For one, change the pipes around a bit, you can use an "end"
piece to make it look better.

More reefs too, that usually makes it look professional.

No. It's not Halo. Its based on WWII. The title should say it. The pipes I put because
they looked like bunkers. I will put ends on though.

Well, it wouldn't hurt to give OS an airport or two, seeing as BH has five. OS probably
doesn't even need that many bases, they won't be able to make landers fast enough to make
full use of them. Plus, a few forrests, mounatins, and road around would make it look
realistic.

ok. Thanks. I'll get right on it.
There. Hope you like it. Anything else?
Metalic_Dragon (10/02/2005 05:38pm):
Much better.

maybe im missing somethibg here...... but.....
how the hell is this based on d-day?
DrainDemios (10/02/2005 08:20pm):
I was curious as to that myself. I wasn't aware that the Axis retailiated with a naval force of
their own, or an air force. I was also unaware that the Allied sent in battleships...
Dullahan (10/02/2005 11:04pm):
The Allied troops used battleships to bombard the coastlines before the invasion force landed.

Sorry to say this, but the map is too big for this scenario. Consider how fast transports
can move and how wide the sea is. It'll take more than a week just to get from one coast
to the other at full speed.

Then, because of all those bases, it's pretty much impossible for either side to invade.
Land units are far cheaper to produce than a naval invasion force and will be totally
fresh while the naval units are running out of fuel (especially if the defender is Drake).

As for the BH defenses, they're far too powerful for OS to handle. Combined with the
chokepoints and the close-by BH reinforcement bases, there's no way OS is going to
successfully invade.

It may be historically accurate (although that's a highly debatable point) but it's not
playable to any extent on AWBW. Shrink the size of the map drastically and lower the base
count to make it more playable. Also lower the BH forces correspondingly. Feel free to use
my comments as you wish. ~Dullahan

hm yes i agree with Dullahan.. the sea is tooo far spread apart.. by the time the landers
reach the shore, BH can just place all its units on the shore preventing OS on landing,
therefore making this historically incorrect. if u can only make the map a little bit
smaller.. and the seas that are not too spread apart it would be ok. say.. landers can
reach the shore in 1 turn then it would be fine. and the bunkers.. hmm shouldnt it face
the other way? and 1 or 2 predeployed battleships along the coast would be fine since it
was true taht the allies bombed teh beach then landed but unforutnately, omaha beach was
a total distaster counting that the air and naval bombardment had not really destroyerd
the beach. and as for air ports... it would be best if BH dint hvae any because otherwise
they can just mass bombers to defend the beach while it will take OS like 3 turns max to
just bring fighters over.. so once again make this map smaller. ill give u 6/10 for doing
a good try.
-1 on how the landers cant reach the beach in 1 turn
-1 on how BH has way too many air ports
-1 historically incorrect
-1 OS has no chance in winning
