BM could launch a mass attack of neptanks using Kanbei or Max and would mow down the OS
units unless OS uses the choke points wisely
Dullahan (10/03/2005 07:08pm):
I don't really see this game going anywhere soon. Too many forests and too many
chokepoints. Any advance is going to happen one square at a time due to the heavily
forested terrain. And OS has too much of an advantage early on (T-copter rush for the HQ,
especially effective if OS is Sami and sacrifices the other land units to charge up the
SCOP) while BM has too much of an advantage in the long run. Also horrid things happen
when Sensei and Hachi get involved, especially as BM. Balance it more.
Deemo (10/04/2005 01:49pm):
This map's balance leaves a lot to be desired. In order for BM to survive the first 10
turns , the BM CO would have to be Sensei or Hachi. If OS is Sami, it is nearly
impossible to win as BM, given that you have to stop both the Md Tank-headed OS assault up
the middle AND the T-copter rush to capture your HQ. If you fulfill only one, then you
are dead, with one of two possible outcomes: a) have your HQ captured by the T-copter
rush, or b) have both your bases captured/sat on by OS and then either die by rout or
infantry going over the mountains to capture your HQ. OS as Sami can take BM's HQ in 5
turns, due to VM, and there is effectively nothing BM can do about it, because BM has only
2 bases, and vehicles cannot pass the mountain/river barrier.

A further set of advantages for OS:
OS cities/HQ: 9
OS bases: 4
OS airports: 2

BM cities/HQ: 31
BM bases: 2

Sure, BM's bases can produce a pair of Md Tanks every turn with an excess of 1k, but OS
can produce 2 T-copters and 4 Infantry every turn with an excess of 1k. OS will have
little or no trouble then avoiding the few units that BM can put in the way, and OS
captures the HQ. Hachi and Sensei are the ONLY ways for BM to avoid getting beaten by a
T-copter rush in this map.
