Choose to start your base where ever you want, but watch out for your competing
opponents!

Enjoy, Shriker
DuelStriker (01/27/2008 01:00pm):
It's awfully bland, a few roads wouldn't hurt. But the map looks interesting, immigration style
maps are always fun.
Shriker (01/27/2008 05:37pm):
well, with the lack of roads you can really have some interesting battlefronts on unexpected
places.
Tyrael (01/27/2008 11:22pm):
^ I have no clue what that means at all.
Put in some roads so rockets missles and recons don't cry (and so it looks better). Not too
bad other then that, but it just looks awful without any roads and so so many plains.
Shriker (01/29/2008 05:07am | Edited: 01/29/2008 05:43am):
Didn't know these maps were called ''immigration maps''. Ah well the concept is obvious
enough. Okay I have added roads and even some missles for some extra versatality.
Let me know what you guys think of it now so that I can optimize playabilety.
Maybe I should remove one T copter and infantry to avoid FTA.. hmm...
Xmo5 (01/16/2009 03:53pm):
I'm currently playing a couple of games on this map and I have to say, its really fun.
There are some FTA issues (especially with FoW) but with a map like this its rly hard to do
much about that... plus I think its fun becuase it makes everything a gamble to see if you pick
the right spot.

Its really so much more fun than it looks. I'll give it a 9/10
airob (02/06/2009 03:32pm):
in FoW this map is hell good
Ikarru (02/13/2009 07:30pm):
If I have to say this map and all immigration maps would be a LTA, this way you see
everyone moving to where they should / want. Then you would be able to expand on that
knowledge and find a good spot after everyone picks so that it suits your own playing
style. But that's just me =p
It is a great map with good balance for all teams IMO. 8/10!
AlbertNi (08/22/2009 03:57am):
with FoW on it will definitely be a FTA.
with FoW off... it might be FTA or LTA depending on how the map is designed (if you cannot
see why, find a economics textbook and read about Stackelberg equilibrium)
amdb (09/25/2009 10:34pm):
definitely unique
ChuckingFodder (10/20/2009 09:29pm):
The map seems kinda bare with all the plains surrounding the lake. Maybe some more
forests would help.
chrisdaboss (11/21/2009 11:08am):
1/10, everyone always gives my maps low scores.
Xephogas (11/22/2009 03:12pm):
Chrisdaboss:
Then there might be something to that, eh?
johnny330 (01/02/2010 04:45am):

not to be rude, but, probably cus they suck? itīs not good to take vengeance on others
maps just becasue yours arenīt well accepted

DrWalkItOff (01/25/2010 07:07pm):
Kind of confused why black gets to start with his infantry/t copter in front of his HQ but Blue and
OJ do not. =\ Could lead to a potential early victory.
Lord_Echo (02/12/2010 05:31am):
This is a fun map, Although not the best.
Xephogas (03/13/2010 04:47am):
@DrWalkItOff
You should probably look more closely... you -can't- capture the HQ's.
Mike55 (04/03/2010 12:30pm):
I have to say, this is a good map, im fond of the larger scale maps but this is the type of
match i love playing on. FTA isnt neccessarily a factor on this because as people have said,
you choose your own base-its just luck really. 8/10.
NickianHighCommand (04/18/2010 12:38am):
Good map. Looking forward to my turn...
DJ-Moogle (07/08/2010 11:54pm):
This map is fun, playable, and "finish-able" With the lack of hiding spots, you just need
to make sure you use them the best you can. Too much cover can force stalemates of indirects.
Shriker (04/08/2012 02:06pm | Edited: 04/08/2012 02:07pm):
I'm happy to see that at least 143 games have been played and that people are still
enjoying my map 4 years later. Ironically I don't remember play-testing the map. Maybe
somewhere in the future I'll see if I can improve it further. Suggestions by people who
played it several times are still welcome of course.
Nyvelion (08/08/2016 12:51pm):
And now 144 games have been played on it... really slowed down there.
Xmo5 (08/08/2016 01:24pm | Edited: 08/08/2016 01:24pm):
Wow, and just a half hour later, it's still at 144! Who would've guessed?
Nyvelion (09/27/2016 04:00pm):
I guess immigration maps aren't popular anymore.
Which is fine with me, I never especially liked them.
Xmo5 (09/28/2016 08:32am):
Wow, how did I find your comment on this so quickly? I apparently wasn't fazed by that at
the time.

I like them for the adventure feel, but they're almost impossible to balance effectively
on principle.
Nyvelion (10/12/2016 08:25am):
I never got that feeling from them. It's more like, oh, I have to spend the first few
turns getting a base which I could have easily just started with, thanks for wasting my time.
Xmo5 (10/13/2016 05:14pm):
I only ever felt like it was an adventure when you had multiple options and could end up
either very close to your opponent or with a lot of space to yourself, which meant there
was a lot of guessing about whether you could/should try for the corner airport because
you don't know if that's "settled land".

This is exactly what makes it imbalanced, for obvious reasons.
