high fund map in medium-size.
best played in FOG.

any comments welcome.

It looks nice, but you could make it so much better by widening the North/South passages or
making them two fronts each. And the center is so pointlessly huge, why not put another
land passage or large island there? It'll be quite a while before the fighting starts, I'd either
move the first two bases forward a bit (or at least the third) or un-widen the map a little.

Some cities could be moved up toward the frontlines too, there's really only one city there at
the front to fight over, with a second lone city 6 whole tiles back. Not only would more cities
reward you better than 1k for pushing the enemy back, but it lets more units heal without
having to spend 2-3 turns retreating, 2-3 healing, and 2-3 getting back to the fight.

Very O-riginal terraining !! I agree with Tyraels 2nd point---- though its important to address
your idea of high funds . First off with high funds you ll get FTA, its balanced well at the
moment with 1 k funding as Tyrael assumed.... and in which case it is true that theres very
little financial reward for quite a big gain in territory ... particularly being a longish map with
long supply lines, theres not much strategic gain from advancing either.
There are surely many ways to help a good attacking army make progress. Tyraels ideas
seem good imo. However if you really want high funds ---perhaps to get the game moving
faster with less capturing necessary--- then you could try the following: Remove the back
base and 5 or more of the backward cities ... put say 3500 funds , which on day 1 gives
an income of 10,500 so an APC would then be a near perfect FTA counter. In this way the
forward cities will be of much higher relative value adressing tyraels concern. And you ll
have ample funds quickly for a great sea-battle and land battle side by side.
I dont see its necesary to widen or add bridges or islands --- i m sure itll work fine as is,
and also its part of this maps O-riginality... with more emphasis on sea than usual. Anyway
widdening and putting lots of extras will probly end up looking like another puddle or bridge
map which we may already have.

also perhaps put a backward misile-silo and a comm to replace the lost cities ?
