...meaning I absolutely have zero chance of this map making the S-rank. Oh well :P Recommended for FOW games (which is what the recon is for). Will you kill the recon so then enemy can't see what you're building? Or will you not spend the 3k for a mech to do so? Decisions, decisions... I'm sure you can play without FOW; it'll be fun with all the forests to plow through. I tried not to overload the map with cities and I hope that an airport will give you a place to spend all that dough that you're getting (making donuts, of course. Haha, pun). Shadow Star, your comment please? Edit: It's a 21k/21k+1k split of funds, for the record. Edit2: Okay, I wasn't the first to come up with the recons on pipes deal, but it just came to me. DS started it, kudos. (I swear I didn't copy his map, even if it DOES have the same army colors) |

Hmm. well, if each side gets 21K funds. with one player getting 22K funds. 3 bases and an airport is a fair amount of production facilities. I wouldn't go any higher. FTA counter is accurately placed. The only real chokepoints are by the HQ heading to their own base. and there's a different route for combat. Mountains and forests are spread out enough to ensure fog matches are interesting and that terrain isn't overly clumped. I'm a little worried about battlecopters takign a front seat in the combat forces since the mountains are spread out so nicely. But with that much funds, it would be possible to make 4 mechs and a battlecopter, so a AA wouldn't be that bad of an investment. The HQ are close, but not close enough that the first person to an HQ will win. even though it wouldn't happen for a few turns, and by then a Tank could be made on the spot, I'm a little worried about recon/tank rushes in the middle by the central base. It's not bad, the three fronts are nice as the airport connects all three fronts but the fronts aren't close enough that you can more your copter from one to the other during a single day. |

Subs would run out of fuel, and couldn't be attacked by mechs. Stealth bombers would be able to move off ot the pipes and rain havoc on the enemy early on. |

You are correct sir. Same defense that air units have. Same defense as the roads give. Same defense ships get on shoals. etc, etc |

This map would be 10x cooler if it was made into a top vs. bottom map instead of left vs. right. 7/10 as it is now. |

From the look of it, it may not seem remarkable. But it's one of the very best maps I ever played (I played only with Fog). Great variety of possible tactics and no visible weakpoints. |
