It's SEGA's famous blue blur, morphed into a -somewhat- playable sprite map. |

Thanks for all the 10s, folks. Do you think I should make more sprite maps? I'd love to hear comments and suggestions on the playability, by the way. |
nerd-boy (03/08/2008 03:10pm):
Very nice Sprite map! Typically, Sprite maps aren't really meant to be playable, due to city-intensiveness, so I honestly wouldn't bother making it playable, to tell the truth. |
Everzwijn (03/08/2008 03:22pm):
Yes, I see what you mean. It was due to the city-intesiveness that I figured an air battle might have made it playable. I think I'll stop trying, though. I think I'll change some of the woods into plains and mountains sometime, to create something of a background for Sonic to run past. |

Everzwijn (03/19/2008 06:07pm | Edited: 03/23/2008 10:02am):
As promised before, I've changed the pure woods background into a wood/plain/mountain background. It's supposed to resemble the Mushroom Hill Zone from Sonic & Knuckles. To make this, I put together the sprite found at spriters-resource.com and a background from bghq.com, then change each background color into the best matching terrain type. Here're the original BG, and the image I made with it: http://www.bghq.com/bgs/gen/s/sk/079.png http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii8/everzwijneverzwijn/maps/MushroomHillZone.png |
ChurKirby (04/05/2008 03:19pm):
Well, looks like you've done it again everzwijn! The background even looks good, too! 10/10, of course. |
