Shadow Star (04/10/2008 11:45pm):
There are too many com towers on this map. 1 per country is about the norm and anything above that begins to reach a level of unevenness, even with every country having the same amount. This map has ten bases per side, and yet only 29 other property that produces funds, that's about the right amount of cities for 3-4 bases, not 9 to 11. this map is based entirely around a single major chokepoint. Fortress maps aren't usually well planned out. This map is no different. a fortress map would have the HQ enclosed in pipes with some breathing space. There are too many Silo on this map, 8 is just a lot. There is a severe FTA. BD will attack all of the CI units in the middle of the map before CI gets a chance to attack with any. The two starting infantry type units that aren't part of the center, continue to enlarge the FTA issue with BD going first, capturing the neutral bases first, and then being able to move out faster than CI. the Sea is extremely plain. All of the forests are in neat little rows while the roads create the allusion of a map that has the correct kinds of terrain (ill placed, but still correct kidns of terrain) The pipes in the middle of the map are both ugly in their design and position. they aren't really needed in the least bit. The two chokepoints on the very edges of the mpa can only accomodate infantry and mech units. And to finish my comment off, all of your terrain is blocky and has no fluidity. |
