on the recently added maps page it says you have 0 airports.
maq_biggermaps (04/14/2008 05:17pm):
Correct.
rast2 (04/14/2008 05:18pm | Edited: 04/14/2008 05:19pm):
maybe thats because he has 0 airports

decent concept but the map has a bunch of problems

"decent concept but the map has a bunch of problems "

Such as?
rast2 (04/14/2008 05:34pm | Edited: 04/14/2008 05:39pm):
Ok, first please understand that a map can be balanced in regard to FTA/STA and still have
problems, even balance problems. In this case the problem is the two big islands which
can't be effectively contested -- the player who arrives on an island first will win that island
permanently.

EDIT: also, I know that traditionally AWBW map names have nothing to do with the maps
themselves, but "Skies" in the name of a map with no air is a bit sillier than normal.

If they're not contested how are they a problem to balance?

And what are the other "bunch" of problems? (seriously, I like to improve a map if I can)

"The Pheasant Has No Agenda" - I rest my case. ;)
nerd-boy (04/14/2008 05:53pm):
Big expanses of sea with no reefs make my eyes overwhelmed by blue.

Balance-wise, the way the "big island" fronts seems awkwardly handled, due to the presence
of only one base easily being able to access the main part of the island. It might be
worth it to connect the big island with the bit that's got the neutral base. Otherwise,
there's no incentive to go after early on. And if you don't do that then the FTA counter's
on the wrong base.

Course, I'd've put it on the other base anyway, but that's a moot point.
maq_biggermaps (04/14/2008 06:03pm):
The neutral factory island won't be gone after early, but it's worth 5 properties (1/4 of
total for each country) so it won't be long either.

The big expanses of sea, I wanted those areas to be particularly unprotected. I'll see
after testing if that needs to be changed.

FTA counter, I'm usually not good at those ;)
Nyvelion FEBW (04/14/2008 06:53pm):
That's okay about not being good at FTA counter's, neither are the other guys who posted
comments on this map
JoeVector (04/14/2008 07:26pm):
I don't think that this map has any problem. Just because it plays slightly different from
the rest doesn't mean it's broken. I like it. :)

That is just a bad map. Why is it on my map comments?
maq_biggermaps (05/09/2008 10:23am):
Totally redesigned the map. Added *SHOCK* airports, and created more fronts.
