Shadow Star (04/23/2008 03:34pm):
You have absolutely no idea what Labs do on AWBW do you?
Each person who owns at least one Labs, can build the lab units. extra Labs do nothing
unless HQs are missing, in which case the Lab acts as a HQ until all of the labs have been
captured.
The map has way too many chokepoints. (all of the bridges, any instance where
noninfantry, nonsea, nonair units have to funnel through a one or two tile wide area.
The sea has no reefs.
There are too many Labs.
All but one ports are shoal locked, resulting in Lander and Black Boat sea battles.
It shoudl also be noted, that Cobalt ice can only challenge Black Hole to sea (Transport)
confrontations.
55 production facilities, and only 43 property that aren't production that produce funds. (tat
means there are more ways of building units than there are ways of earning straight cash.
there are 12 airports and, three just happen to be right by JS.
Blue Moon with gain access to 5 of the 11 neutral bases. And everyone will fight over the
property that is decently close to Black Hole, thereby removing Black Hole's chances of
getting any of teh property for long anyways.
There aren't FTA counters to compensate for any turn advantages.
And there's no logical reason to play as Black Hole since they're not only in the middle, but
also the focal point of almost all combat. (and do not have the funds to atke down one
opponent while defending against 4 others. What little terrain there is, is clumped or arranged
into straight lines.
There's an overload of plains in the top right corner, yet the other corners have different
problems that are also glaring.
I can't even say that this map is Ironically bad, it's just bad.
