It is the Year 2112 in Bangkok, Thailand, half the cities population is incacerated the other
half lives in constant terror...

The game starts with a mass prison break-out in 8 prisons. The violent criminal gangs have
been running the prisons for years and now they have learnt how to manufacture advanced
military equipment in their fortresses. When they raid the laboratories they will also learn the
secrets of rockets, blackbombs, piperunners, Megatanks and komet fighters.

Ban Bombers and stealth.

Each side should start with 65,000 credits and 1000/ property. Weather should be set at
Random.

Red11 (05/03/2008 06:44am):

The sister map to Neo-Tokyo.
DuelStriker (05/03/2008 07:03am | Edited: 05/03/2008 07:04am):
OMG 4-WAY RIVER TILES CONNECTING TO NOTHING/10
Red11 (05/03/2008 07:34am):

A river that connects to nothing and doesnt move is called a lake. If infantry can fjord a river
they can cross a small lake too. ;-)
Red11 (05/03/2008 07:36am):

Which CO would you choose on this map?
Hydralisk24 (05/03/2008 02:46pm):
Lash for me :D
DuelStriker (05/03/2008 03:13pm):
Lash, Sturm, Sami, Kindle, Sasha, etc.
Harmony Bunny (05/03/2008 04:56pm):
I like the design, even though I wouldn't be able to say if it's balanced or not, the problem is
that with a tank you take around six turns to brake a Pipe seam... the firt days of the battle
will be boring.
Red11 (05/03/2008 10:05pm):

Thanks for the comments.

With these large maps which I make without much planning it's difficult to decide if they are
balanced, but I try to create equilibrium states around the map. One way to address the
balance issue is to give the less experienced player the choice of which side he/she wishes
to play.

Im going to address the breakout lag problem with some pre-deployed tanks in the prisions
and maybe a few more starting cities. WIth 45,000 credits you get two large tanks, but its a
little slow still.
Red11 (05/03/2008 10:12pm):

Ok, well I left all COs in. How would say Sturm v. Hachi go on this map? I mean one has a
huge mobility advantage, but the other is very strong later in the game when more cities are
captured. The Sturm player has to be aggressive with rcons, tanks.

I thought Sensei would also put up a very tough fight, since he must surely take the most
cities quickly with his COP.

Eagle and airbases also looks viable, but without the bombers in he will be diminished.
Red11 (05/27/2008 05:44pm):

I now recommend 65,000 starting credits.
nirial1991 (05/31/2008 07:48pm):
This map looks awesome. It has the feel of chaos.
Red11 (05/31/2008 08:13pm):

nirial, you have to play with a very clear plan, otherwise you're going to get creamed. :-)

I think OS has the slightly easier position, so I recommend the player with less games under
his belt plays OS. There is quite a bit to think about with your 1st deployment of four tanks
(maybe). AB at least does get to see his opponenst deployments, pipeseam break plan 1st.
Also, Colin and Hachi will get more out of their startup credits. However from 4 games
testing I am starting to believe Sensei is King on this map. Someone prove me wrong. :-)
nirial1991 (06/02/2008 12:10am | Edited: 06/02/2008 12:15am):
Thanks for the advice. I'll be sure to put up one hell of a fight if i play on this
map.Note:I am a Jess booster, but I can play as Sensei if the occasion calls for it.I sure
would like the password.
Red11 (06/02/2008 01:35am | Edited: 06/02/2008 02:44am):
General note to all observers. A Sensei Neo-Tank takes three turns to break a pipeseam.
Others without direct penalty take two.
Red11 (06/02/2008 04:28am):

June 2, 2008 : Snow appears for 1st time after random weather for 4 games plus current
game just started. nirial has thrown down gauntlet with Sensei versus Sensei.
Red11 (06/02/2008 04:32am):

Interpretation of Snow in Neo-Bangkok. Nuclear WInter?
nirial1991 (06/03/2008 05:33am | Edited: 06/03/2008 05:34am):
Oh, and don't spend all of your starting money on Neo-tanks only, in retrospect I should have
bought all Md Tanks instead. This is done to save money for the infantry that will
populate the map for you, and the Heavy tanks you'll buy to protect them.
nirial1991 (06/03/2008 05:35am):
Has anyone noticed that this comments page is more like a war room now?
Red11 (06/04/2008 02:10am | Edited: 06/04/2008 05:14am):
I think there might be flaw in map with early 4 neotank assault on OS Hq from nearest 2 AB
bases. Any comments on this?

-Maybe it is technically correct for OS to place only 2 tanks on the 1st turn-
nirial1991 (06/04/2008 06:12am):
Just leave more starting funds, ooooor you could increase the amount of funds received per
turn. As a joke, you could ban Neotanks, Mega-tanks,Rockets,and of course missiles. I
still feel that Jess could make a splash on this map, given the huge distances to cover.
Red11 (06/04/2008 07:56pm):

More funds doesnt fix the problem, might even exacerbate it. Players just need to think
cautiously with their CO, 1st unit purchases and placements right from the beginning.
Red11 (06/07/2008 12:07am):

Game 5 ends with suprise early resignation by nirial. AB claims first victory on this map!

Notes : OS would seem to have the best of it in the early game, but AB is compensated in
other ways. AB has better access to the center and therefor a stronger chance of gaining
the labs, for superior units from the middle game onwards. The question is are the lab units
decisive? Only playtesting will reveal this in time. OS cannot simply ignore the centre of the
map, but must also pressure that region in someway, or gain some advantage elsewhere,
like capturing the lower SW corner or gaining a northern airbase, with potential attacks on
the AB hq.

I still intend to make very minor adjustments to this map, moving say two cities.

June 7, 2008

Echelon3 throws down the gauntlet with Lash !! (OS) .Having played E3 once before, I
choose Sturm (AB) just for him... My dream lineup for this map is still Sturm versus Sensei or
Hachi...

Game 6 should be very interesting...
nirial1991 (06/08/2008 05:58pm):
Note: to all who doubt me. The early resignation was not because i am a wuss. It was
solely because Red11 had shut me out so completely so as to make victory impossible for
me. I just figured, why continue after the cause has been lost. Take a look at the game
page for proof. Apparently he had defeated two other players in the exact same amount of
time.He is a worthy foe for any player.
nirial1991 (06/18/2008 05:06pm):
I've just nominated this map for submission to the empty a-rank category of maps
