self 10?
decent enough map though, but I agree with Dragunov, too many chokepoints
you might want to add a little more property, fix the road problem and symmetry mistakes,
and maybe add a few more forests in some of the empty spaces along with the cities too

to fix the chokepoints just get rid of some of the mountains, though it looks like you did
that some, maybe to keep the idea stated in the name just move them to the edges, and also
for the chokepoints, get rid of the pipes in the middles and make the bridges more than
just 1 tile wide, or if you want the pipes so badly just make them longer when you make
the bridges wider
Ruins of Time (06/03/2008 09:32pm | Edited: 06/04/2008 07:55am):
and I'm no FTA counter expert, but I think the FTA counter you put (2 infantry for BM)
might give BM slight STA, ask someone else to make sure though 'cause I'm not really sure
Dragunov14 (06/03/2008 09:36pm):
No, if there isn't a inf on the top base there will be FTA on the top part of the map because
this map is really like 2 battles were the winner up top will help the guy on bottum.
Raider00 (06/03/2008 09:39pm | Edited: 06/03/2008 09:46pm):
No i didn't self 10 >.>. I dunno who rated....

I like the pipe being there to encourage movement to the middle. And also make it important, at
least at first, to hold on to the top base. I think it'd be better if i made the pipes two wide
along with the bridges however. Thanks

The lands not supposed to be exactly semetrical, i think that'd be boring and require less
adaptation. I thought the second infranty would be a mistake aswell i wasn't sure though...i
think i'll remove it.

I'll try moving around the mountains. I wanted Mech fighting to occur though...so not too
much.

thanks for your help Ruins Of Time

(edit) I decided maybe moving the inf unit back one would prevent any huge advantage.

(edit2) i looked at other maps and they do that aswell, when there is two distinct battles
going on, BM gets two inf...but can someone else confirm this?

I also now have two 10s and dunno why. So i rated myself a 5 :D
Ruins of Time (06/04/2008 07:57am):
why'd you rate yourself a 5? the map looks better now, but if the non-symmetrical thing
had a meaning you should keep it, I just didn't know it had one...
Raider00 (06/04/2008 08:29am):
LAWLS i just realized i had, in place of the com towers that i ment to put in, labs.

TY Ducky (increased own rating to 8)
nerd-boy (06/05/2008 02:43pm):
I don't like the pipeseams.
Tyrael (06/05/2008 03:38pm):
The FTA counter is iffy- just make one of the southern factories neutral and give BM one inf
down there.

I see you still love bridges a little too much ;)

You should take out the fourth factory, there's not enough funds or space for four of them.
Speaking of space, take out some mountains so tanks have a chance to come into play,
otherwise it'll just be swarms of infantry backed by artillery, a recipe for stalemate.

Optional idea: Switch BM's northern factory with OS's northern factory so each side has
one factory diagonal from their "home base" of HQ and two factories. One isolated factory
each could lead to some pretty interesting dynamics.
Tyrael (06/06/2008 05:45pm):
Take out the northern BM infantry, otherwise BM gets STA on both fronts. Just one down
south is fine, BM gets STA on the bottom and OS gets FTA on the top which is about as
balanced as it can get with the uneven fronts.
