Hmm. My recommendation is to remove the labs. Labs aren't really something that I'd
recommend someone new to advance wars using until they learn how they work and such. Other
than the FTA (First turn advantage) you did pretty good for a first map.

I don't see the labs so I will assume they were removed. Where were they?
Dasuri (06/12/2008 11:33pm):
The map has been edited since the first comment. The labs were in place of a few forests
on the non starting islands.

teal galaxy is too strong!!!
13 fund producing per turn.
orange star only 5!!!
everybody needs the same funds per turn in the beginning of theŽbattle (at sea-battles).
everybody needs the same ammond of factories and harbours.

otherwise it looks good!

this would be more interesting (and more realistic) with more woods
demonhands (06/24/2008 11:35pm):
also, good balance of ports!

This map looks nice, but after playing a few balancing issues are obvious:

Teal Galaxy is too powerful, gets too many properties on it's island. It might be thought
that Blue Moon might come up and take the few on the small peninsula, but BM has to save
up enough for a black boat (or lander) and the float his way up there. By that time, TG
will have troops in the area and probably be able to fight off BM's attempts to take even
one of those cities.

It doesn't help that Blue Moon is in the weakest position. Any other islands nearby have
properties that can be more easily accessed by other teams than BM. TG has control of the
island north of BM and the island to the east is easily captured by Amber.

Orange Star isn't in that bad of a position, as others may think. It has the two big
islands in the area under its' control, and if the player is fast enough, that small
island to the southwest of his HQ.

There are other issues, but those are the glaring things that stood out to me while
playing through this map.
