Wall-E! I wanted to make a picture map that was also playable (1-up Island is one of my favorite maps). This is a picture of Wall-E, and I wanted to remain true to the picture, so no, it is not symmetrical. That said, I paid very close attention to things like "how many turns will it take for a OS infantry to reach the bottom middle versus a BM infantry", etc. This map should be balanced, and with Wall-E's eyes providing lots of delicious funds, it's sure to be an interesting game. PS: The 4forest block in the middle of the map is there for aesthetical reasons, but also to slow down vehicles coming from the top 2 factories. |

also you might want to ban Koal or just do what I do and play No CO Powers |

I'm getting more of a Johnny 5 vibe from this map, lmao! And yes, I do know Wall-E was designed after him and E.T. |

I gave you a 10 for awesome spriting. In reality OS has a better advantage from FTA and positioning. He can move to the bridge that is only 6 squares away from his base and 7 squares away from BM's base. I think FTA would be balanced on it's own if you simply flipped the map so that OS has BM's position and BM has OS's position. This would also balance because OS is 8 squares away from his uncaptured base and BM is 10 squares. So if it were flipped, OS would finish capturing the base just after BM does. |

i tried pretty hard to balance FTA with the map itself. I missed the 6 to 7, and that is definitely not what I intended (I wanted to have all of the important points on the map be the same distance apart). That said though, I am playing some games on it and I'm quite pleased with it so far. I am really happy with the spriting, and I did it all by eye-balling it. I basically looked at a Wall-E picture, then back at the map, a few dozen times =P. |

I've noticed two things in my games: One is that Red has an advantage, so I think switching the sides is a quick and easy fix of that. The second thing is that indirects, particularly rockets, rule the middle. I am considering adding some balance against indirects (and maybe bringing aircraft into the game more by starting each side with an infantry on the airbase). I think that between a little nerfing of the chokepoint of the middle would go a long way, though. |

pretty much a good map, but I agree with you and everyone else who pointed this out, FTA, and bringing aircraft into the game earlier sound like a decent, but maybe not perfect, fix to the rocket/artillery problem |
