Hi. |
notsofunwes (09/13/2008 03:42pm):
Hello there you piece of trash^ Lerogjia: The evil Wesleyan goddess who tried to impede the progression of trade in Wesleyan lore. Not really. Ban Sturm, Kindle, Sami. Don't play in FOW because of the artillery madness that may insue, unless you really really want to. The fronts are supposed to be as open as I could make them, with them still being somewhat closed. They're probably too closed. Aren't they? Make I should connect the bottom two, perhaps? Or just leave the map alone? Oh, and the top is supposed to be a pain in the ass to move through :D Are there any comments, suggestions, or doctors in the house? |
FunkyChunk (09/13/2008 06:58pm):
Super Grit FTA imbalances. Besides that, it looks solid, the income is just about right and there's loads of multiple fronts to keep things interesting and erotic. You might want to get rid of the shoal beneath the upper set of ports to allow some silly naval combat or something. You also might want to ease up on the forests just a teeeeensy bit, but whatever, it's your map, it's all good. And no, you don't need to connect any fronts, don't be such a waffle. Also, Vreoa Aoerjg. |

players have the option to move their artillery to the spaces beside their opponents artillery if they want. Not sure how this would be usefull but just pointing it out. |
DuelStriker (09/14/2008 11:27am):
Interesting map. The artillery can't really do much though. armiesfacingthesameway/10 |
funwes (09/14/2008 03:50pm):
The artillery are a random thing I felt like doing. I'm not sure why. Funky: I just wanted to put the option of transporting units, as if people wanted to do so. I felt like if I didn't put as many forests as I did, people would start crying "BLAND!!". I also know what you mean when you say erotic. I love erotic maps like this. |

The OS arty has FTA against the other one, it can move over and block PL's before it can be blocked itself. Useful or not? Who knows, but it might be. Ocean between them to prevent. Or ocean. Or pipes. Are the roads on the second from bottom front supposed to not be connected? It looks weird to the road nazi. Also the central city there looks like it could be very useful to control. I suggest watching that one if/when testing. |

Double post. |
funwes (09/14/2008 06:52pm):
I don't think the artillery could be useful at all. I might even end up taking them out after the test games are over. (You said "ocean" twice, btw) They're not supposed to be connected, so the aesthetics wouldn't be weird. And good point, I'll be watching that From what I can see so far, the northern most front is quite crowded and might be FTA-ish to get that central city. I believe I will do something with the mountains after testing is over. |
Tyrael (09/15/2008 04:29pm):
Because I want oceans there twice as much as pipes, and don't want the random artillery removed at all, hence the 0x mention. ADJACENT ROADS MUST BE CONNECTED TO EACH OTHER IN LIEU OF HAVING PEOPLE DRIVE INTO THE FOREST. THINK OF THE TREES!!! The north is also the most isolated and closest to a starting factory. Option 1: Easier transport would be nice, and a good bit wider than the other fronts to be contestable if the other three stalemate. Option 2: Ban Kam and US from the map. |
Tyrael (09/15/2008 04:43pm):
I agree with your ideas in the north. Bananas should be fuzzier. |
funwes (09/15/2008 04:45pm):
Hey, you should try fuzzy peaches |
Tyrael (09/15/2008 04:49pm):
You should try the non-fuzzy ones. |
notsofunwes (10/01/2008 07:02pm):
Updated Loosened up the northern front Made combat for sea units very possible Switched southern airport/city, moved base closer there |
