The point of the landlocked docks is simple and unique: build battleships. They can't move, but act as very powerful artillery. The trees provide cover, and allow you or your opponent to take out the battleships without being spotted. Besides that, it's a nice, otherwise quiet, map that takes you through some beautiful scenery. I'm wondering if there are too many docks; if anyone thinks so, let me know. Same with the trees; if there is not enough cover from the battleship's artillery fire (or too much), let me know. Of course, this is all assuming that Fog of War is on. And if you like the map, but not the idea of the entrenched battle cruisers, you could decide unanimously to simple not position battleships on it. You could still but repair boats on them! |

Nice concept of immobile, but powerful defense. Anyways I'm gonna join in the playtest to see how it turns out. If it ends up well, I might rate this a 10. 9/10 |

FTA? |
Myst9 (11/24/2008 09:21pm):
There is really nothing to balance it as far as FTA, but otherwise I tried to keep it balanced. What I wonder is this: Does it matter if I modify any region to remedy this? I mean, normally Green Earth would go first, but Black Hole could become Orange Star, so then who has the advantage? For me to give Black Hole an extra property or something would then off set the FTA even more, should he become Orange Star or Blue Moon, right? Or am I wrong? |

Okay, what does everyone think about additional bases? One additional base for every player? Or at least one that is closer than the one you have to capture that's far away. It seems kind of slow going playing with just one base. |
