A pretty large 4P map.... Tried to cut down on large sections of plains so Jake wasn't too good and I tried to make it reasonable in terms of neutral properties, but feel free to make suggestions. I didn't do anything to account for FTA because I figured that on a map this size it wouldn't make too much of a difference to give an extra infantry and I think anything else would be too much. So as a result I don't plan on changing that unless I get some good suggestions, in which case I'd be more than happy to modify it. Also, I did my best to try to make the map symmetrical but if you see anything wrong, let me know and I'll fix it. |

I have seen no helpful criticisms on any of your maps, which is really too bad. This map has some serious FTA issues, you may as well give Orange a win. Many of your airports are too close together. They should be at least 11 spaces away, so that a fighter can't reach each the other in one day. The neutral bases are also too close together. An infantry shouldn't be able to go from one to the other in a day, since that will interfere with your capturing phase and Sami will become uber powerful. Another thing is the central silos. I'm no big fan of any silos at all, but contested ones are dangerous, since it will give whoever wins them a serious advantage. Chances are Orange will win them. Many people will say there should be no more than one Comm Tower per country because it makes Javier overpowered, and also probably makes many others unusable. Grimm comes to mind. I tend to agree with them. About the FTA counter, you've got 9k funds and the placing of the bases would get me to make an APC and an infantry on day one. Followed closely by another infantry and a tank, probably. I would probably change the location of OS and GE (or BM and YC, if you prefer) and give both GE and YC an APC. This would get GE and YC an earlier tank, and then they might have a fighting chance. I'm a big fan of unique FTA counters, so it's really up to you. Last but not least, I'm not entirely sure if you haven't read these, but you probably should if you want to make more halfway decent maps. Thanks for the comments, I was unsure about putting in the second tower myself so I think I might remove that and change the locations of some bases/airports around as you suggested. I'm not too good at coming up with FTA counters but I see your logic with the APC idea and I think I'm gonna give YC and GE an APC to start. As always, more input is always appreciated. |

ok, maps been updated... gave each country some neutral cities in the back corner and changed one of the cities to a base so they could more easily send units up the (vertical) center. Also 1 base per country was added in the middle island and a few more cities. Let me know what you think |
