A very straightforward and balanced map. There ends up being three battle lines. One on each road around the edge and the battle for the middle factories. Whoever owns the middle, owns the game. |

Not all "straightforward" maps are balanced. Please do not make the mistake of thinking "symmetrical = balanced" In reality, the map is unbalanced because it favors OS capturing the corner bases and the center base. In addition, the map desperately needs terrain variety, too many woods and mountains and chokepoints kill the fun out of the map. I would suggest mixing it up a bit, have plains, mountains, woods spead out in an uneven manner, that way, it gives players a choice of how to manage their units strategically, along with flexibility of movement. This map really should be re-designed. The concept is good, having more than one point of battle, however it needs to be edited to some degree, to make this idea work. I would not be surprised to see OS win on this map. |

I gotta disagree with you on this one Frosty. besides the fact that ORange goes first, the map doesn't lean towards favoring either color. Both colors are the same distance from everything. It truly is a battle to each factory. in this map you have to put constant pressure on all battle lines to prevail. Plus you have the three cities in the middle of each side that need guarding. i have played on this map twice now, and both times it has been fun. It is a quick game. a straitforward game, meaning the strategy doesn't change much from game to game.you just know what you have to do and go for it. please do not think that straightforward = symmetrical. the balance in this game is easy to see, and the forests and mountains really add some dimension to the fighting along the roads and especially in the middle. It does lend itse3lf to building lots of mechs and infantry to traverse those mountains, which some may not like, but that is a strategy all to itself. Out of the two games i have played on this map, blue thrashed me with eagle, and orange is winning at the moment in the second game. If i were to change something i would add a clear roadway into the center factory un abstructed with trees. That would make it tougher to hold. |

I made some changes to my first map attempt. I created this with FOW in mind and a long campaign vs. a quick capture or surrender. I also gave Blue a pre-deployed Inf in the SW corner to try to even out the race to the neutral factories. Hope any who decide to give it a try enjoy themselves. |

I would say OS still has a bit of advantage on this map. Even with blue starting with an infantry. Since both sides start with so many factories. Still it is more balanced than most maps. |

Yes, perhaps add another infantry around BMs HQ? |

Added another Inf for BM, hoping to cut down a bit more on FTA. Thanks for the feedback. |
