My 1st crack at a large map.

Rate and(or) hate ^_^

Are the ports meant to be shoal-locked? I like the map though, but air units render ports
useless at this map, unless the opponent spams anti-air.
airob (05/27/2009 04:18pm):
itīs a good map(tough i tend to like some moar cities)..but it needs moar mountains.thatīs
sure, and some reefs, and maybe moar forests at the farther isles
Harti (05/27/2009 05:30pm):
Add one or two bases each.
Also, sea without any reefs was, is and will ever be bland.

Make this map less "PC in the southwest, PL in the northeast"-like if you can.
Watchful_Eye (05/27/2009 08:27pm):
The map looks good.. the only thing I worry about is that it is extremely open, I dont
know if it is possible to use indirects effectively here. I agree with hartis idea to put
in additional bases, since it is also a way to solve that problem.

Altered teh map...

interesting map ---looks good--- big openish maps make a nice change from time to time...
and this one looks nicely made with some curious gameplay choices early on and throughout
game.
One problem is few players maintain concentration through a longish opening and big map
games rarely finish properly --- ways to speed up the opening are either (1) preowned
properties, (2) predeployed units, and/ or (3) higher funds ....... BUT you have to be careful
with FTA countering then. See guides/forum/....... or the notes on red11 s big map "lions of
the desert"
http://awbw.amarriner.com/prevmaps.php?maps_id=32507
and leweas big one "4 corners"
http://awbw.amarriner.com/prevmaps.php?maps_id=36594
neither of which have enacted properly the necessary fta counter measures (YET?!), but
the ideas are at least discussed in a real example.

Wow O_O
I was thinking exactly the same when I saw the map for the first time! XD
(Except for the line is: "What happen!?")
