And the quest for the playable joke map continues. Now that I have my little Black hole Gray Sky mix up resolved.. again the goal is make OS actually feel threatened by the mechs and force him/her to decide to push for the gate on the left or to take out the mechs that can actually hurt the tanks. Both sides get factories. OS obiously will be producing ranged weapons and GS will be building infantry. Balance issues will arise with, How many turns it takes to get through the wall, how long the meat shield should be, and how many mechs the tanks should have to face. Ehh, this time I actually get to play test it so let the OS epic fail/infantry slaughter begin. |

So OS can build Rockets which can one shot any infantry that might try and take their Command Center so that is very broken. The mechs do 60% damage to the pipe! Yikes! That will become thicker... Next issue, COs. Perhaps CO power should be off is the best solution. Andy and Eagle are the two options I see for OS and plenty are broken for grey sky(not to mention Javier for both sides)... Hmm... Would Javier actually help Black hole? it increases indirect d and all the com tower bonuses maybe the rockets would be ineffective. So changes to v 0.3. More Mechs and try it with Co powers(no bans) edit- Jav makes it so no one can hurt anyone.. seems like that is odd but oh well. So no COs it is. |

OS builds Rockets and eventually can keep GS from getting fresh reinforcements to the pipe line. It will then take what seems like quite a few days to take out the last section of pipe. If OS can't plow through with its Tanks(and trust me there is enough firepower in those mechs to win, but just barely, so OS has to hit as many as possible to get the "first shot" advantage or its tanks fail. Two tanks Really need to be left behind to cover those bases or Bad things will happen. Now once OS get enough rockets it should be able to free up those back tanks.. but will it do so quick enough?? I think the map is starting to become fun to play... who woulda thunk it?? |

Still a little too easy for orange star I think. Perhaps I will give GS a factory in the NW and remove their cities? v.05 should be a Lot harder for OS now I think. v0.5 was way in GS's favor. .6 will cut their mechs quite a bit. Ver .7 should now be playable and either side has a shot at the win. GS is a bit broken if it can get an Arty on the pipes but it will be hard to do so if the tanks rush, though if the tanks rush instead of taking out the mechs behind them they will have a number disadvantage from the get go and may not wipe the area yet if they dont rush GS (if played at its best) can get through the pipes in like 8 days! yikes for OS. But. OS still has a good shot if played correctly. Cheers. And comments are welcome! |
