Demonstration Maps. STAND-OFF in FOG
strips of exposed "no-mans" land can be very hard to cross resulting in "stand-offs"
..which can lead to draws ..which are often only overcome when COP SCOP are available.

The existence of an exposed no mans land strip along frontline can depend whether fog is
on or off.
With FOG ON, the distribution of forest is very important factor in determining if their
is an exposed no mans land.

Here the left map is very stand-offish, whereas the right map positively invites an
invasion ..if you can get to frontline first to hide in trees and take advantage.

In fog-off the advantage of getting to centre is less though forest defense can help a
bit. But it is a different effect. So the amount of stand off (drawability) of maps can
depend if there is fog or not and on forest distribution.
With fog off , stand offs are influenced more strongly by distribution of mountains... see
other demo map.
