I think that everybody had played this simple but awesome game, I had nothing to do this
morning so I made the map as a memory of the first level of Pac-Man, I tried to keep the
idea of the game, OS, BM, GE & YC are the ghosts, and CI is the Pac-Guins,...
To make it playable, the idea is that the ghosts need to find and destroy the penguins,
and for that, they can buy new mega-ghost-tanks in the labs, and the penguins need to
capture all the things that they can even the ghost's labs to win, of course, the bonus
buildings could help a lot, because there you can build more penguins and transport units
to avoid the ghosts,...
As a suggestion, play in FoW could be better, with 500 funds and maybe CO Tags, just ban
all the units except foot soldiers, mechs and apcs, and the lab units need to be mega
tanks only, just to keep the idea of the game,...
Any comment or suggestion are welcome,...
DuelStriker (08/29/2009 02:30pm):
Units can't be built from labs. If you control a lab, you're able to produce the lab unit from
bases/airports/ports depending on what the lab unit is, but they aren't deployed from the
labs themseleves.

How do you get a high score? How do you even get points? How do you even (even) beat
the first level?

khdou (08/29/2009 06:25pm):
not what you'd expect, but there's no way that OS/BM/GE/YC will ever win in this map.
Think about it, in fog, their vision is 1, so the only way they could kill the units in
the first place is if it was on a city or they ran right next to them. Not only that, but
since they can't see anything, as long as they leave an opening to the center, the
infantry could just sneak in and capture an HQ. So what they would do is just camp- 2
tanks guarding the center and the other 2 "hunting" the pacmen. The only way they could
kill a unit is if the pacmen ran into them, but that wouldnt happen if they played
carefully sinec they have 2 vision. And in the event that they do run over a base, they
need at least 2 units to kill the unit on the base and then the other one to block it,
which is also impractical.
kookysooky (08/29/2009 07:11pm):
Turning fog on seems like it would be bad, but perhaps it isn't. if the megas rush and
block intersections, the game becomes easier. whatever it is, it's definitely an
interesting concept, I'm just not sure how CI can win.
michaelandres (08/29/2009 07:23pm):
Well, thanks for the comments, I did this just for fun, and I didn't know that thing about
labs o.O, that's a good info, so I'll change that, about the score and points just didn't
exist, you win or lose and that's all, and yes I haven't noticed that the megatanks are
useless in FoW by themselves in this map, so just play without FoW, and if the megatanks
are just guarding the entrance, the penguins eventually will capture the bases and cities,
so CI will buy his own megatanks and win,...
Now that I'm going to change it, I'll add another player, so this could be Mr. and Mrs.
Pacman, and it could be played in cooperative mode or just a versus match :P,...
Cereal Killer (08/29/2009 07:24pm):
I'm waiting to see how this game will turn out, it looks fun.
michaelandres (08/29/2009 07:41pm):
Updated, now you have just three lives so be careful with the ghosts and the only unit
allowed to buy is the megatank, I removed the labs because I had a wrong concept on how to
use it, and now I know that those won't work for that I want, the idea of two players (Mr.
& Mrs. Pacman) it's still on evaluation,...
kookysooky (08/29/2009 10:09pm):
hmmmmmm... I think now it is stacked for pacman. I guess it stays true to its roots, but
there just aren't enough megatanks to go after this many infantry. and once a base is
captured, enough turns will have gone by that the next turn he will be able to build a
megatank. as far as the fog idea goes, I think it isn't that unplausible, since the cities
will be visible paths while the roads will be more stealthy for pacman. only suggestion I
have is that the cities are in strings of 6 so that if a transport goes across that area,
the ghosts know it.
Falconewing (08/31/2009 10:51pm):
1 infantry should do it(fo each team)
airob2 (09/01/2009 08:02pm):
below the megas there are bases, right? so they produce units, and they will win
blozzee (12/26/2009 10:40pm):

Meta Rexy (11/24/2014 08:40pm):
The teleport tiles seem really buggy... If you try to move infantry through them onto the mountains they get stuck and lose their ability to move for the turn... as if something blocked them.
But I'm sure nothing blocked them. In the game I played the Megatank team was incapable of producing infantry...
How do you fix this?
