Interesting design, but recon rushes on the neutral bases are likely to be a problem. You should probably make them pre-owned (and the FTA counter would be easier to make). |

One small problem I see... the corner bases can easily be suppressed by a rocket unit placed on the forest tile five tiles to the centre, whilst the corner bases themselves cannot easily deploy a suitable counter. I've not followed developments in theory for a year or so; should P2 have one more property, so as to counter FTA better? Right now it's 5:4, 6:4 feels like a safer bet... A missile deployed on the 'equatorial' bases will need two turns of movement to get into a position to block the airports, whereupon the missile will be moderately protected but can be neutralised by a determined attack. I like that. |

the FTA counter given was infantry + city, which i think is the normal one, however it gave CI enough early funds to build a recon and rush GS base, so i changed the FTA counter to a 2 infantry one, why? well, the corner bases get pretty much screwed and due to FTA on the bases surrounding CIīs corner base, it was hit even harder than GS corner base, so i thinkitīs fixed, i shall run some playtests soon though. |

This is a great map. I had a very good match on it as Nell vs. Sami. Only bad thing is that it's very difficult to counter a mech rush on this map... |

I like that on this map you can choose where to apply 2 vs. 1 situations, because there are several options. You can try to pin down the corner base (difficult because of terrain), or try to pin the lone base on the sides. Difficult strategically to call, because your opponent has the same choices, and how you reinforce will reflect your competing strategies. Very intriguing. Now for some criticisms... Balance might be a little off because of the 3 starting bases, I would say there's STA right now. Preowning the neutral base is probably the best option. You shouldn't see stalemates despite the 4 bases (due to # of fronts and 2 vs. 1 situations), but the terrain is a little thick for my tastes, especially forests. Overall 8/10, could be higher with FTA fixed. I like it a lot though. |
