k i played on the map,it´s very good and has a lot of options. one thing that bothers me
though is that it becomes too copter spammed, which a single AA cripples the other player,
it´s like about who makes the first AA...otherwise i really like this map, mechs can be
put to good use here too.

erm....i have something to say here...i really liked the older version of this map(wihout
the extra neutral base) these bases are too close to each other and overral the map was
really better before...with just 3 bases

I think you should remove the neutral middle base again. The map (I have played on it) was
very interesting because you only had this one base to cover 2 fronts. Now it probably will
be a very huge infantry standoff fest.

Recently I reviewed this map and thought that I should swap the (5,5) factory and the
(6,3) city. This will reduce the pressure on the one base side, and make supporting HQ
more easily. Any thoughts?

this map is playable now, but it's air heavy. gaining air control is very important I'd
replace the hill (13,1) and (8,3) with forests, which make vehicles accessible
between the 2-base side and 1-base side.

This is the greatest AWBW map I have every played on!

There are so many different strategic possibilities on this map. You need to decide when to
make inf, mech, recons, art, tanks, AAs, copters, and eventually rockets. If made at the
right time, almost any type of unit could effectively be used on this map, and there are
numerous possibilities for how games could play out. Obviously 10/10 -It is an amazing
map!!!

Since this map finally retired from global league, I implemented several changes on it,
including moving one of the bases backward, opening another entrance to the so-called
"canyon", and building up bridges between the airport and base.

Tst changes map after it had a good run in global . What a pity.
It would have been easy for tst to just make a seperate new version of the map. Then
everyone would be happy and we wouldnt lose a bit of history. Also the map would be
available for newcomers or for future tourney etc.
Really the bigger problem is AWBers dont see that its almost always possible to create new
and we dont need to destroy things which people like. We are NOT running out of space. If
we were, then the hundred thousand rubbish maps that no one even looks at should be
erased. Actually the real information content in all awbw maps is hardly a fraction of
one music cd, though maybe it is stored highly inefficiently.

Yeah I actually take back my criticism above after playing a couple more games on the new
version. This map still kicks ass. Though I do agree with blanci that having the original version
would be nice as well... Maybe I can dig up an old replay with the original and restore it.

Well, I did have the concept of version control you know... just that I wanted to force ppl to try the new
one though. Now it has been out for a while so I guess if the community perfer the original one, here it

The map is not symmetrical. There is a forest missing next to the mountain at (03,11). There is one at (21,02).

This map is in the Hall of Fame as one of the most influential standard competitive maps of its era (approx. 2007 - 2010).

For fixing the mistake, you could unpublish it (which would stop new games from being created on it manually).

You may also be interested in joining the awbw discord, since its a big deal now (most of where the conversation goes on)

My most hated map so far. I'd sure like to see the percentage of copters spammed here I don't know why people like this. I wish you could self-ban a few maps in league play.

Why is this god awful map still in the pool for league matches? I'm not asking for this map to be deleted, but for the love of god
whoever owns or manages AWBW just remove this from the league pool. Playing on this map is like undergoing chemo
therapy. Yeah you won against cancer (i.e. playing on this map and winning), but what did you have to go through?

Personally hate this map. I see why some people like but it plays to all of my weaknesses. About to play it for the 6th
time...I've
never won on this map...frick me, here we go again.

I wouldn't mind it so much if it didn't come up in the rotation so damn often.

Update: just got assigned this level again! why is this my most played map! What god or demon to I need to pray to to stop
getting assigned this map!

Not so good, not so bad.But this map is rather counter-intuitive, based on personal , 1 Rating

However, compared with other maps, the battle line is more open. The soldiers from the two bases can only start from the
side road and will be ambushed by the artillery in the valley.

The city in the middle of the valley, together with the artillery, is almost unstoppable.

In addition, the central region can only be supported by the independent base. The other side needs to go around to its own
HQ, which can be basically ignored.

Thus, Mech and helicopters that can cross the mountains can attack the artillery in the valley and support the central area.
The tank troops were only beaten by artillery.

Therefore, the game strategy should be that the independent base needs to take into account the side defense and the
central area defense. On the side of the two bases, the artillery needs to advance slowly.

I think should give more roads to let the rocket pass quickly.

In addition, the cities in the valley give too high an advantage. As long as the independent base is occupied, it can easily
defend the enemy's attack.

In general, for a standard map with a relatively fast pace, it has a very winding terrain and a valley with cities.

Max can leave the stage quietly.

In a word, this map gives people who are familiar with it great advantages. Although it looks
like a standard fast-paced map at first sight, in fact, this map requires both artillery and helicopter.

artillery and b copter spam is way too easy because of all the mountains and cramped space, really trash map, i feel like a
comm tower would REALLY improve this map

This map needs a com tower, idc on weak or strong side (pref on weak side) but the inf spam with 3 bases on top of having safe mountains and choky side lanes is way too hard. map itself is fine, just too stally and plays bad without com.

Awesome map. Only downside imo, is that P1 is able to build the first copter without any base skipping and gets great early
pressure. Currently P1 was a 53% win-rate after 6500+ games. May not be decisive but an advantage nonetheless.
