Tardis (01/10/2010 01:51am):
Orange Star routed Green Earth's vanguard and was in the process of claiming the Com
Towers, Lab, and many properties along the coast. But just then came an unwelcome
surprise: Blue Moon and Yellow Comet laid aside their differences and descended on
Orange's spoils to make them their own. With only half the battlefield captured, Orange
stood no chance against the combined force.

But all was not as it seemed: neither Blue nor Yellow knew the other was coming! Each
wanted to surprise Orange and take the prize for themselves. As they drew alongside each
other, they could see they were evenly matched. If they fought each other, whoever won
would stand no chance against the entrenched Orange Star forces. They established HQs
near to one another and agreed to attack Orange as one front.

Of course, each plans to strike the other down once Orange is nearly beaten: whoever
breaks the peace first will have a decisive advantage. How long will their alliance stand
as they bear down on the Orange forces? Perhaps the Lab or one of the Com Towers will
tempt them too strongly, and Orange's battered forces will be given a reprieve as the
invaders tear each other apart. Or maybe an attack will be made on an exposed HQ, by
Orange or by the other HQ.

This map is meant to played as FFA: Blue and Yellow must of course work together anyway
for quite some time, but they will be jockeying for every advantage that will help them
once the inevitable happens. Making the Lab necessary for more or more useful units will
tend to break the alliance sooner. FoW is likely to benefit Orange, since they can see
most of the map anyway and the paranoia may damage the alliance.

Orange would do well to defend their coastlines to force the "allies" to advance around
the winding path for as long as possible, but must also strike a balance between acquiring
property even if they will quickly lose it and weakening the invaders. Orange might do
well to focus on attacking one of the forces, since the other might then be tempted to
wipe it out...

Bans: Kanbei (allies too powerful), Colin (Orange can stall for G), damage COs (too bad
for the allies)

This may start out badly unbalanced; I can easily adjust just how much force the allies
have after playtests.

Very long. Not that it matters when you can travel through time.
