whats the point of the ports? i mean really only the evil men, and pirates used boats until the
elves left. so why even have them?

also, RF is pretty spread out at the start.

OS and AB are the only ones who can't start capturing an airport by the second day, and
YC in general is in a really bad position. very few capturable properties, right next to the
juggernaut on the game, YC would be the hardest to play jsut because BH can send four
Infantry and a Battle Copter to end YC and claim a small amout of Properties early on.

RF also has the problem of properties. they can go across the river and claim those, but GE
should be doing that as well. and then GS would be able to claim their property faster and
then take down RF.

BH has a lot of open plains to quickly move through and then capture as they go. good for
the movie to be realistic but maybe replace most of BH's cities with Bases. since Sauron
(along with Sauruman to a lesser extent cause he doesn't show up here) uses numbers to
win it dones't make sense for him to really need to build anything bigger then a recon when
takign down YC and OS...and the BM with bigger troops.

BM's second base is pretty ineffective for the most part (the northern one)

GS should be on a team with RF because of how close GS's southern base is to RF's HQ.

On the whole a good map. maybe add some more Bases instead of cities since in the movie
the final battle was in a sense recons (horsemen) versus infantry (foot soldiers)+
Oliphants/armadons (MD tanks).

err. 7/10

There were two middle age maps circulating in this site, and this is the better one. More
rivers would have been a plus since purple has all there bases in one area while there
seaport is all alone. Not to mention every1s seaports are stranded! Overall a enjoyable map

Im gonna do a total re-do of this map. I'm going to add more terrain variety and even it out a
bit...It wont be up for a while, if i finish it at all.....Heh heh....

Changes i plan on making:
getting rid of a lot of those plain areas, in exchange for some forests and maybe mountains.
adding more balance
removing a lot of ports/airports (if any will be left, i cannot say.)
Making some parts less chokey (especially around Gondor...)
Maybe add some pipes for "Minas Tirith" and "Helms Deep"....

IchigoKurosaki (04/06/2008 12:28am):
Is this the real map off the books?
Nyvelion (04/16/2014 09:16am):
Yes
