I didn't want to place HQs as I wanted players to choose where they wanted to start from,
which might make games a little more interesting sometimes. I would have left a HQ in the
corners but they would be too hard to defend if a player wasn't paying attention. I need
to make sure the map works without HQs though, as i'm not sure. At worst i'd put them in
the middle of the small center lakes to have them unreachable.

EDIT:
Couldn't publish it until I added HQs... Whatever though, it just makes it a little uglier.

My only suggestion would be to put forests by the bases on the edge of the map where the
cities are currently located. Right now who ever has the turn advantage can captured the
base and see if someone has landed. If a forest is there, You can't see them.

Could you rephrase that please? The person with the turn advantage will be able to see
whether or not other players have landed infantry only if they move toward that side of
the land, in which case they would be giving the enemy CO a chance to shoot first, making
going for the non-corner factories a risk.
