I likes it. I don't know enough about map theory or anything to provide particularly useful input, but it looks like it would be fun to play. Nice varied terrain and what-not. |
airob (02/14/2010 10:22pm):
it shouldplay out very well, itfeels like this map loves max though, itīs very open. it also feels a bit left vs right :E maybe you could swap the corner mech neutral bases :O? |
xushu (02/15/2010 12:39am):
@airob: I like the idea of swapping the mechs, so I did it ^_^ It might have a Max advantage here, but I think I can be proud of that... I mean, I don't think I've come across a map that said in the discription "Ban Max" xD |
blankets2 (02/15/2010 05:42pm):
lols at max ban... really good looking map, might be difficult to choke anywhere. |
xushu (02/28/2010 08:55pm):
After a play through, this is a fast movement map. I am thinking that it needs to be slowed a bit... somehow.... |
airob (03/12/2010 06:10pm | Edited: 03/12/2010 06:10pm):
way to infantry spam this map O_O k so iīm thinking of a posibility in strong side, put one of the bases closer(yes, closer) to the enemyīs neutral base, taking care not to fall in the shameful recon rush issue, and move the other base farther fromitīs actual point ie: OSīs two bases the ones bettween the bridges could be near the neutral port at the right, and the base next to the pipe could be moved next to the other neutral port(the one at the south-center) that way you will assure a fast play 1v1 and a slow play 2v1, also this could prevent the first base from deploying mass inf... |
xushu (03/30/2010 03:53am):
Definitely something to consider... I'll try to alter it here tonight, assuming I am not stone tired from work later today. |

BAN MAX!!! He's BROKEN on this map! Had to do it. No one else had. :) BTW fast isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's not like we have an abundance of maps that don't encourage arty spamming. I like the occasional tank-fest. |
walkerboh01 (06/05/2010 05:18pm | Edited: 06/05/2010 05:18pm):
Mmm tank-fest. Looks fun! Honestly with all the shoals it's very hard for me to see where the fronts are going to develop. But I agree with mcluvin, there is nothing wrong with a good fast map. Definitely deserves better than the current 5.5 rating. |
walkerboh01 (10/01/2011 06:14pm):
Preowned cities give FTA issues. I'm also not a huge fan of the corner bases, I think the map works better if it's not a mixed base map. I'd give a 7/10 for now, but it has a lot of potential with some edits. |
xushu (10/12/2011 10:23am):
Good ideas there, Walker~ edits made. Now it has a whole new feel. ^_^ |
Meta Rexy (02/06/2015 02:42pm):
This map still overly favours tanks. If you're going for speed, perhaps starting each player with a predeployed Black Boat will help things fire up fast. :P |
Zakel (10/06/2021 04:10pm):
I'm having a game on that map right now, and this is the only map I've played so far that I find really bad. The battle was pretty interesting, a bit of a tank fest indeed, going back and forth. Until we decided to build battleships on the ports. It makes the comm tower nearly undisputable and it covers a huge ground with low defense so it's nearly impossible to protect the city you managed to capture on enemy territory. Good luck trying to bring those ships down in a sea of tanks and anti- airs. Basically from there the first one to move loses. I did not have the patience. I recommand leaving only the port that is the most distant from the battlefield (maybe transform the others into ghost ports). |
itchybruno (01/29/2023 04:01am | Edited: 01/29/2023 04:02am):
Delete the ports if you are going to have shoals that prevent navy from moving. |

The title of this map is actually pronounced, "Cash Money & Bar" |
