i had like to review this map in depth. first off...it has alright balance and has an FTA counter, good. it has quite a weird(not bad) aesthetic design, i actually like how it looks, though when it comes to gameplay, i´m afraid the side and the center paths are too slim. they will choke out massively with indirects since they have really heavy terrain and only are two tiles wide for land units. i suggest you open a LOT the center for ground units and wide the sides by at least one tiles, and remove a few mountains NEAR the bridges..i´m not asking for removing a lot of mountains and the bases...just at the bridges. next the funding: each army is getting 7 bases and two airports. maps this big can at most hold 4-5 bases per side without choking on space or having to place a shit ton of properties to get a properly income (there should be a city ratio of 4-5 for each base, and 5-6-7 for airport) i suggest you remove a couple bases(just bases) and add a big amount of cities, most possibly in the new land terrain you´ll make..there should be plenty of space. |
