Solofo (11/19/2005 01:13pm):
Here's my 4th map. It's England vs Scotland vs Ireland & Norther Ireland vs Wales. Balancing this map was actually much harder than on other maps... but all in all, I think I didn't do such a bad work balancing it. The way I see it happening is that Ireland will focus on its properties and end up with 9 by the time it encounters Scotland and Wales. Scotland will take its own properties plus the ones North of England at the same rate, giving it around 8-10 properties by the time it fights Wales, which should too have around 8-10 properties (its own properties and those East of England). England will have around 10-11 properties by the time it faces Wales (around the same time Wales will fight Scotland) but England has its HQ in a more vulnerable situation. Very difficult to balance all this but the result is quite satisfying giving how difficult it is to balance (because of the fact that each countries vary greatly in geographical size). Your thoughts? |

It doesn't work as you planned. Conflict happens much earlier, and I found OS and GE getting an advantage due to the properties gained. Though it is a good map nonetheless. |

Very good, although it could do with a few more forests. Maybe consider swapping YC's bottom city with the middle base, giving their HQ a more defensable position; and changing OS's properties in Cornwall to neutral giving them more properties in the South East instead. After all, Cornwall was one of the last places to be controlled by the English. |

YC's HQ is a bit too vulnerable, especially considering that YC goes last in turn order. |

This is disgustingly underterrained |

Ban Jake and YC goes down nonetheless. |
