Yeah, it's a luvely fluid map.

Very solid map. Just change one of the neutral cities within 3 spaces of an OS base into a BM
city to fully counter FTA and you're good.

This is one of the best maps I've ever played. Had tons of fun with it!

I hope this map becomes part of the global league pool!

For the first 100 games, OS won 60%.

If we assume that players would have an even chance, there is less than a 5% chance of such an outcome or a more extreme outcome.

So statistics suggest tht there is an FTA problem. Until there is some clarity about this, I hope it does not become part of the global league pool.

Would be my favorite map except for potential FTA problem.

There were 6 upsets out of 51 games in MBO2021, and there were an even number of upsets on P1 and P2 side. The
high seed was P1 in odd-numbered games, and P2 in even-numbered games. Had I always given the higher seed P1,
MBO2021 would have contributed 45 OS wins and only 6 BM wins. The skill difference between players was quite
high, and by all accounts, the map is rather strange. I hope people continue to play the map to investigate potential FTA
issues further. It seems the map has grown a lot in popularity, so that's very cool!

I think the fta balance is good enough, since I think any kind of theoretical advantage will be heavily overcompensated by
the sheer complexity and variety of gameplay this map gives you. So yes theoretically there should be some (likely very
small) fta since while the rest of the map has balance all over, the center bases do not have symmetrical fta/sta interactions
(p1 center base is ahead vs p2 center base and p1 center base is ahead vs the lone corner base too, while p2 doesnt have
the same back). That said the funding curve could also have more effect then this, including order of builds, so it may not
even be the largest source of fta/sta (but doing such an examination is very hard).

That said (as per usual) the map statistics are not at all a reliable indicator of fta/sta (so whether its 60% or 50% doesnt tell
you very much). The data quality isnt going to be very good (small sample, large player skill gaps etc.). For a map like this
one any possible fta will be heavily overshadowed by player decisions (and map complexity).

We also cant point to any game in particular or variation where fta plays a precise role (for the same reason that it is so
complicated) in the result.

So yeah in my view the map is very good (even taking into account this "theoretical fta"). Very sharp and exciting games. For
the MBO tourney this resulted in a lot of upsets (in part because in sharp positions its much easier for a favorite to totally
mess up and lose, while in a slower position its harder to make those large magnitude errors). Also since fdd made his
message there has been an additional upset.

That said, I dont think it has good odds of getting into global league since its a bit too sharp/crazy.
