Nice map. I just hope that central area won't stalemate with all of the infantry that will be
produced due to the 4 bases. It shouldn't be too much of a problem though.

I put four bases rather then three because uneven bases can cause balance issues. Although
there will be a massive infantry flood, I figure it won't be that bad since this map is
relatively big.

I doubt or at least hope that there won't be much of a stalemate here because the players
will be able to fight over the properties on the flank, and they will be able to assault
the enemy HQ's well safely placing some air units in those plots of sea.

Care to play-test?

Yep, I agree with you 100%. As I said, there shouldn't really be any problems.

I realized when I went to capture that airport that the airport can kind of act like a
fourth base, so I can get rid of a base and the balance/even-ness will still be
maintained. I think that is how a lot of maps do it anyways.

There should also be a few more centralized properties to fight over and some structural
changes to make stalemates less likely.

Besides that I have a few minor changes in mind like adding more shoals/reefs/other terrain.

Yeah unfortunately it did stale a bit in the center, although I think we could have broken it up a
bit with air units and heavier units as the game went on. The missile tiles make it hard to
attack though, and the lack of properties in the center don't give any incentive to anyways.
There were also a ton of infantry and mechs to block with...

I think three bases will help considerably, and I also think it would be worth it to shift the
bases slightly so that those corner areas are also contested a bit. For instance, take out the
farthest base from the center and make the most central one preowned. You'd have to
reconfigure some properties but it would probably work a little better.

There I edited it - should work better now. The center is open and there are only three
bases so I doubt there will be any stalemates anymore.
