This looks pretty cool. The Hq's look abit exposed though,i think you'll have to playtest to see if it ends up being a quick rush for them. |

walkerboh01 (03/12/2011 08:20pm):
Indeed. It's not even that they're exposed so much as it is that they can't be defended very easily. You might want to consider making an opening in the pipe so the HQs can be more easily defended. Otherwise this looks like a quite good map. |

Thanks for comments. I intentionally made HQs unsafe, because I wanted to make a map there are effective way to use T-copters. If your T-copter can land the opponent HQ zone in next turn, opponent should use units to destroy or block it, and the units can't be used to other purpose. I don't want to allow land units to defend HQ. But I think the HQs are too exposed too. I will adjust it after some playtests. (To prevent quick rush for HQs, do the broken pipe seams have to be replaced unbroken ones?) |
|
walkerboh01 (03/13/2011 11:00pm):
If you replaced the broken seams with unbroken ones then there will be no way to get to the airports haha. But it would solve the HQ rushing issue. |
|
truant628 (03/14/2011 01:31am):
I said "unbroken ones" as breakable pipe seams, not as unbreakable pipe tiles. :) But..., players might have no time for breaking it by Art. |

Red11 (03/14/2011 01:32am):
All the more reason to install an infantry throwing unit as i discussed in the forums. |
|
wareagle (03/15/2011 03:59pm):
A pipe seam should stop any early rush for the HQ's. I think they need to be more defendable like Walkerboh suggests though. Another opening in the middle pipes or more shoals would do it. |
|
Red11 (03/17/2011 12:27am):
Yeah, but if you're playing on the map and are unware of how exposed the hq is, you will probably loose anyway. |
|
walkerboh01 (03/17/2011 02:10am):
I really think just putting a bboat on the HQ would solve the problem entirely, and then this would be a very enjoyable map. |
|
Red11 (03/17/2011 04:02am):
ffs it doesnt need a bboat. :-) |

walkerboh01 (05/15/2011 01:55pm):
PM me if you fix the HQ defense problem and I'll put this into Good 2 Player maps =) |
