Made for games with or without fog. I think either would invite interesting avenues of play. |

I give it a 6. I'm not a big fan of maps for more than two people with the focus being on one of a special kind of property (ie the airport in the center). No one will ever really be able to take it if everyone's focused on it, and if someone does manage it, they'll probably never get a plane off the ground. Also the money on the map doesn't really allow for anything more than a bcopter. The layout itself is interesting and should make for an interesting game. I like the wall of mountains you have each player hiding behind. There are just enough trees to make FoW interesting, but not cumbersome. Initial building placement is good, though perhaps a bit overboard (maybe make some of the cities there neutral at the start?). The way it is now, you'll immediately be fighting over the cities in between bases... which I guess isn't a bad thing... |

Personally, I gave it an 8. I think giving it a focal point, in this case in the form of an airport, merely gives players another avenue of attack. Do they risk it all and try for the middle immediately? Or do they consolidate their starting position by working on the sides of the map and possibly foregoing the middle? I think it will be an action packed map from the start, and I've tried to make it this way intentionally. I find the maps where a lot of infantry planning is necessary quickly become boring. I hope a few people join the play-tests and we can really see what it has to offer. |
