You mentioned in Skype that you threw this together in 5 minutes. You should do that more
often because this actually looks interesting. It has potential.

I feel as though because of where the initial bases are set up and the surrounding terrain,
recon rushing is very, very viable. Only 4 one tile paths between the HQ islands and the
mainland is not necessarily entirely bad, but with the close proximity of the other bases it
would be very difficult to attack the enemy HQ as it is once each side establishes a presence
on the mainland. I wonder how the map would play out if the HQs were further forward but
still possible to defend.

Another issue is the fact that the two Airports are almost on top of each other in terms of
movement space for air units. In general, Airports benefit from being at least 9 spaces away
from each other. Although making them closer is not impossible, it's generally a good rule to
follow.

In general though, I like the idea of two side bases fairly close to the action but with limited
ways to move to the mainland. I like the terrain choices in the middle of the map. The biggest
problem I see right now is the Airport placement, and then after that major testing to see how
chokey things get around that HQ sector, because I really don't see those islands being easy
to attack but I could easily be wrong.

It needs a lot of editing overall, but the good aspects of the map are good.

So much update since that last comment. More changes than I could list. So looking would be better than my
explanations.

Bases are too contested here. Decent map though.

Update times. Moved a few buildings around. The neutral bases have a bit more, uh... identity now.
Mori2 (03/06/2012 03:10am):
Hmm. I remember suggesting that placement, but looking at it now, the bases seem too easy to
recon rush. Switching the neutral bases with the ports is boring, but would fix the issue.
There's probably a much better fix that you'll think of though.

I like the overall layout though.
