Those back ports are kind of useless when a t-copter can get the same thing done, for less money, and more use. There's a lot of plains and not a lot of terrain variety. And pretty much all of the ports are going to be useless. You have a lot of chokepoints, and even using landers won't speed things up very much as there isn't a whole lot of places to land. Now then balance issues: you have roughly 22 bases for Black hole, and roughly 20 for the 4 allies, this is not necessarily a bad thing, but it is a little much for a map this size. I noticed you tried to balance that with the airports, giving BH approximately 4 airports versus 6 airports, and 2 contested. you have about 64 property for the allies to split, and about 58 property for BH. the funds are about equal. |

Thx :D yea I suppose the ports are useless but Ill just keep them there anyway if someone want to build ships for fun :P I have tried to change it up does it look any better? |

hmm. 16 versus 16 for bases, 4 versus 8 airports, approximately 58 versus 70 total property (70 divided by 4 is roughly 17) 22 versus 26. I'm still going to wager in favor of the allies. Just because their combined positions are a little better. Which is about how the cartridges felt, so good for capturing that feel. You could try spacing some of the property out a little bit, just the ones touching other property. I would maybe make 2 of BH's starting bases neutral, and give them 4 more cities. due to the placement of the countries, there should be ample time to prepare for the initial wave of black holes attack to cripple the allies. The only real problem that I have is that the terrain shows about where the fighting is going to take place. Where those used silo are create a sort of line where a lot of the ground combat should be taking place on. Black Hole now has some purpose for those outward seaports, they do get troops to the battlefield faster. though the middle lake and the two in the bottom corners remain a waste of time to build sea units on. A lot of the time sea units and air units don't get along (air units being cheaper and more versatile) All of your terrain is culminating into 3 tile wide chokepoints, this is not necessarily a bad thing, 3 tiles is pretty wide. and with the air support it should be okay. I think that covers most issues and comments that I have on the map. |
