People keep getting confused about my map names.

thats a good band there

Looks cool. I haven't played on maps like this much, but I wonder just how much those central
black tiles change the tactics you use.

This account has a lot of fun black tile maps on it. I really like the smaller ones personally, but
I have some ideas for large scale ones, just gotta find the time to make em. The tiles are
never placed thoughtlessly or gimmicky, so I have a pretty good idea what they will do to the
gameplay when I place them. I'd write a big forum post about why they're so cool, and how
they open up like a billion possibilities that haven't been used too much, but I don't really have
the time for that right now either. It's not like there aren't black tile maps on this site, but I
really do wish they were a little more common.

Black tiles are pretty amazing.

This map is very fun. Maybe a little too open, but very fun. Using the central black
squares
defensively as meat shield fillers and offensively as +1 movement is working as intended.

Edit: After some playtesting, I think it needs another base. There's currently a lot of
tank spam,
which is okay and everything, but the attrition isn't all that exciting.

Also could use more mountains.
Mori2 (02/04/2012 01:43pm | Edited: 02/04/2012 02:01pm):
The map should be significantly better now. Removed the combination of massive open planes
and two-base tank-spam setup for three bases and more intelligent use of heavy terrain.
Mori2 (05/09/2012 03:08am):
8. Solid terrain, interesting enough supply routes, 3 fronts with easy switching.
